Such news will soon be commonplace. The time of Mad Max is coming soon in the USA (and around the world).
Capitalism is dying, but when it dies, capitalism will still reap a bloody harvest.
When feudalism was dying and capitalism was replacing it, the world was drowning in blood. For example, in Holland, where for the first time capitalism was finally victorious, the civil war lasted 86 years. Look at the map - microscopic Holland and 86 years of civil war!
Roughly the same development of events should be expected now.
You look in the news feed - the impression is that you are reading reports from the frot.
Gangs kill each other, gangs kill civilians and children, robberies and violence all over the country ... kills civilians for no reason by the hundreds. ..... Live shows how crimes are committed and the police are chasing a criminal .... The US police are more aggressive and hateful than the Gestapo and the SS - they kill hundreds of civilians for no reason.
In general, a new era of chaos is coming.

Probably a boy who, 1000 feet away, can hit the pilot of a flying helicopter.

Sure. Not hard if you hunt doves or ducks.

My 11 year old brother used to shoot at B 52s as they flew low to land at a SAC base . Til I told dad. Got an ass whipping and lost his 22 rifle.

Definitely hard. Even if you hunt ducks. Duck hunting is done with shotguns, and typically at no more than 50 yards. This had to have been with a rifle (much harder to hit a moving target than with a shotgun) and at a much, much greater distance.

Could be anything. Prolly not the first (or 1000th) time some jackhole has taken a potshot at an aircraft knowing they were unlikely to hit it and unlikely to get caught.

...law of averages eventually win out.

Thats not to say it wasn't a (highly!) skilled sniper deliberately targetting that specific aircraft, just that, at this point, it could be anything.

You need to find a new line of work. You have no talent at all for being a Russian propagandist. It is truly pathetic.

Could have been a low flying helicopter and a gun-toting "get off my property" type person.

I had a low flying helicopter experience too, a few days off from that encounter. It just hovered over my house for a few minutes. I don't care, but if the helicopters are flying low now, then I expect the neighbors will start complaining about it again.

    They should shoot back.

Radio in the location and have some jets bomb the hell out of it.

This time of year, I am inclined to believe they thought it was DEA looking for pot. Manassas is rich redneck ground, but redneck nonetheless.

You forgot to write that these are KGB agents, after they interfered in the American elections, they shot down a helicopter pilot.

But seriously, almost everything that I wrote a few years ago about what awaits the United States has happened (economic collapse - decline in production - rising unemployment - falling living standards - growing crime - racial conflicts - .....). It remains only to wait for the civil war and the collapse of the United States. These were the last two items in my chain of events. And you probably remember that. But if you forgot - look at the archive.

Unemployment is always rising, and there are always crime and racial conflicts.

Civil War ain't gonna happen, we don't have anything even close to regionalism that people would die for in the USA. I doubt if you could get that many people to die for France or Germany nowadays.

Something I've noticed, from Ayn Rand to the present, is how hard it is for Russians to really understand the US. I used to have these long discussions with Victor Khomenko, and while he is utterly brilliant, he was never going to 'get' America, despite living here.

Victor owns a stereo company and makes some of the best amps and preamps in the world. His stuff is crazy expensive, I can't afford it, not even used. But his designs are beautiful, as is the music they make.

He is a propagandist, probably a paid one. Unfortunately he doesn't know enough to avoid saying things that every American knows is false. He is the worst Russian propagandist on the forum, I'm afraid.

I was a high end audiophile many years ago. I gave it up and find myself enjoying the music more. BAT amps are definitely high end.

I'm Surprised that no one here has blamed ANTIFA, BLM or Kamila Harris yet. After all, they all hate America, right? Just ask Donny.

I agree completely, which has to be a first.

I mostly listen to music on my Audioengine A5+ computer speakers now. They get the job done, you'd like them.

I have two computers set up for music but I don't use them for listening much. My Mid Fi home theater does a great job with the digital music files on my NAS. You would like my home made 15" subwoofer. It is down just 2 db at 20 hz. I'll look into the Audioengine as a replacement for my upstairs computer that sounds pretty dark.

I love subs, but I don't currently have one. I got a Concept 2 rower, and the wife demanded the sub as compensation. It was a fair deal, the big part of the rower wound up where the sub was.

My speakers are PSB Gold 2i. They are at least 20 years old now. But they have big woofers, and they go into the 20s with full power, but peter out in the mid 20s. Still, that's pretty good. I went back to just stereo speakers for my home theater. On the rare occasion something is well recorded, they sound terrific.

Lol. Nope just stupid kids. Until my dad started whipping our stupid arises!

Glad it was just 22 cal. shorts.

By brother didn't think he would hurt anyone as he wasn't shooting at the cockpit. Lol. And in his mind he was shooting at soviets! Not the US. This was in the era when your dictator was banging his shoe on the table, hollering the soviets would bury the U S.
