    We need to make this a rule for one thread after someone passes.

    I tried that for John Lewis, an American hero, but instead it was merged into an earlier direspectful thread.

    There should be absolutely nothing derogatory posted about Robert Trump. Now with John Lewis why would anyone post crap schiest in a thread that is about his death? Even the thread title had an insult and name calling. Do that schiest if "you" ( collective you) are addressing a current event or a historical event that involved Lewis.

    Jimmy Carter is 95 years old and in bad health. Say he passes in the next 6 months to a year. Are you one of those who thinks that it is appropriate if someone posts a thread title = " Carter worst POS POTUS decided to die today" . Ok sure he is a public person and we can all disagree with how things went during his presidency. But is that the time to throw schiest on the guy ?

    I think that the headline the Wash Post posted about the death of Robert the First Brother was despicable. Yet let's be honest the first post about Lewis's death here on the forum was dispicable.

    By your logic Trump should be absolutely trashed in a thread when he dies.

    As much as I abhor him I would support a single thread that is respectful of his passing. And I would possibly even post an RIP in there.

    I accepted the reasoning at the time, but what happened here shows that there should be a clear rule. Allow one moderated respectful thread for ANYONE, then let others post without trying to make it look like a memorial thread.

    Lol...suck it up. Americans have already lost 165,000 brothers, sons, daughters mothers, fathers, husbands and wives to the trump virus because of his incompetence, and you people are ready to throw millions more under the bus to help your pocketbooks.
    It wouldn't surprise me if that's what killed trump's brother, too.

    This thread is about Robert Trump, not Donald. Donald spent 45 minutes with his brother over the last few months (all on Friday) and was golfing yesterday, posing for photos, and tweeted complaints about FOX News.

    As I said Trump was trashed for not going to the memorial and it was explained what an arse Lewis was to him and how petty he had been not going to the inauguration. He's fair game for that if Trump is going to be injected.

    Would it be appropriate if someone post a thread title = "Carter best POTUS decided to die today"? Would it be inappropriate if someone points out he wasn't and in fact on the other end of the spectrum?

    To compare the public face and figurehood of Robert Trump to Lewis is folly. And do you mean this post?

    The response has, in my opinion, been worse. Journalists and the leader of the NAACP have tweeted on Hashtag #wrongtrump. How pathetic can they get? I think every journalist that uses this type of antics should be fired, and the leader of the NAACP should be forced to resign.
