You fire upon the target until the target is neutralized, that's the way it has to be. Pumping out rounds isn't as sinister as media makes it seem because with these small caliber arms its not usually instantly obvious if you've landed a hit or not - its not like the movies where 1 shot blows a huge blood splattering hole in someone and they instantly drop. And contrary to what people might believe, being an expert marksman with a pistol isn't some easy thing even when the distance appears to be close. Even from a standing positing, with both hands on the weapon, no fear of your life, and controlled breathing, you'd be surprised how hard it is to hit a target consistently from a range of a little as 10 yards. Now imagine you're in a chaotic scene with a combative suspect who has already demonstrated intent to cause you harm, you're huffing and puffing from running or some physical altercation, maybe you've got one hand on your gun and the other on your radio or flashlight, and you've got literally less than a second to decide if you're life is in danger. If you decide to fire you will be emptying your clip because a) you won't know if you're landing hits and b) you won't know how many hits it will take to stop them.

 

Wait six months for the truth. In the meantime anyone who loots or riots should be jailed.

Not at all...the cops should all have their guns taken away...until they learn some self control.
There is no good reason for them to keep shooting people to death when they could just shoot them in the leg or arm to stop them.
Some of these situations where cops ended up killing the suspect could have been avoided if cops would
learn some basic hand to hand combat and stay in good physical condition.
Where did cops get the idea they are judge jury and executioner?

 

Step 1: Altercation
Step 2: Black Man Shot/Killed
Step 3: Riots, Looting, Theft, Fires
Step 4: Ignore Evidence, Defund Police

Rinse and repeat. Probably tomorrow.

 

So we should judge ALL cops by what a few cops out of the hundreds of thousands of existing cops are accused of doing.

Unlike the MLK days when real peaceful protesters marched during the daylight hours, todays blm and antifa's version of "peaceful protesters" only come out in the dark of night all clad in black. Probably attributable to the fact that these creatins need time to drop off at strategic locations appropriately sized rocks, bottles filled with gasoline, urine, bags filled with feces, recharge their lasers, and gather their skateboards and fireworks for another assault on the police stations while other young urban troubadours are looting and burning the local business snatching up anything they can get their hands on.

There is a couple of lessons here.
1. If a cop tells you to stop, it is probably in your best interest to do so.
2. If you are going to run, it is probably to make sure you first pull your pants up at least 12" before you decide to take off.

Don't punch a cop in the face. Don't pull a gun on a cop. Don't run from a cop. Don't get shot by a cop.

Is it? We have video for what happened in Kenosha, both incidents to be fair. And in one, dude reaches to the floorboard, that video is discounted, and riots happen. In the other, kid is chased around Kenosha by convicted felons engaged in looting and arson, and that video is discounted. Video in Portland of the armed group of thugs attacking unarmed white guy and shooting him, video is discounted. At what point does the video become credible to those on the left who even now insist that these videos cited above aren't the "real story"?

Yesteryear, we had civil rights activists who fought for and won civil rights.

Today we have thugs, hoodlums, criminals and anarchists fighting for some ill-defined demands.

 

Cops aren't paid to be free targets or pin cushions. Pull an gun on a cop, and you risk getting shot.
Yes, cops are tasked with dangerous situations where sometimes they're justified in using force. They're still American and still have the right to defend themselves.
