    Chinese state media mocks Trump's positive virus test: 'Paid the price for his gamble to play down' pandemic

    The editor of a Chinese state-run media outlet on Friday mocked President Trump and first lady Melania Trump following their positive coronavirus tests, writing that they "paid the price for (Trump's) gamble to play down the COVID-19."

    Global Times editor-in-chief Hu Xijin tweeted that news of the first couple contracting the virus shows the "severity" of the pandemic in the United States.

    "It will impose a negative impact on the image of Trump and the US, and may also negatively affect his reelection," the editor concluded.

    I remember the side effects that he was suffering when he was using hydroxychloroquine this summer. When he had trouble lifting a glass of water and needed help walking down a ramp. Of course, the media was all over that, calling it early signs of dementia or whatever. That all ended when he stopped taking the stuff though.

    No it isn’t lol. If they get a positive covid test and die from a car wreck they’re not counted as a covid death. Whereas here they are.

    Wearing a mask isn’t meant to protect you from COVID-19. It is meant to protect other people from you if you have it. Snopes would label your theory as FALSE.

    I have actually done that experiment. When I vape without a mask, the vapor goes quite far - several feet. With a mask on, it's limited to my general area, a foot or two.

    So, by not wearing a mask Trump shows he doesn't care whether anyone else gets it from him? That's even worse.

    In any case, yes, masks don't protect the wearer 100% from getting the virus. However, there is SOME protection.

    Everyone in the first two or three days of contracting the virus are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms. Trump is not asymptomatic , he is showing symptoms
