We did not vote for experts. I think the elites have seen their chance to go full authoritarian and they going to take it (with the full-throated endorsement of the leftist voting bloc). You will take the vaccine or you will starve, your "choice".

This argument of mask vs no-masks is ridiculous and stupid.

Masks and the 6 feet rule are to protect other people in case YOU have the virus. When we talk, we spit. Everybody does. Normal spit from talking has been determined to travel less than 6 feet. However, if you sneeze or talk aggressively, that spit may travel further. If a person has been tested and the results are negative (not considering the possibility of a false negative), the person wearing a mask or not wearing a mask will not have any impact on the spread of the virus.

The spit we release falls on things around us. Counter tops, ATM key pads, our own hands, etc. People touching items that may have been "spit" upon could transfer the virus to their own hands. Whether they wear a mask or not, if they rub their eyes or mouth after having the "spit" transferred to their hands, they can get the virus.

Wearing a mask may slow the spread, but it will not stop it. The reasoning is because we touch so many other things throughout our day that could have the virus on them. Most people in our society do not wash or wipe their hands often enough throughout the day. We go to the store....set our store purchase ice cream cone on the counter (that may be infected)...pull out our debt card....stick it in a machine that many people have touched throughout the day....punch in our PIN # on a pad that has been touch by many people that day....unwrap our ice cream cone that we just picked up off of the infected counter with our bare unwiped hands, and possibly transferring the germs from the packaging to those hands....grab our ice cream cone with those same hands......and stuff the ice cream in our mouth.

If people want to truly protect themselves, keep wipes on your person and wipe your hands and any objects after they/it has touched something others have been around and could have "spit" on. Wearing a mask is just a social politeness towards others, but it has no real impact preventing YOU from catching the virus.

No one should wish harm to others, albeit there are some that do, of course those are personal conflicts and that happens, but not to people that one does not interact with.

I agree 100%, Trump let his guard down and now he is paying the price.

 

There's an intubation period of 2-5 days before we know the true status of the President's health. Now he's got some of the best care in the world so there's reason to be optimistic.
