Perhaps you should ask the real indigenous folk ,,, the North American Imperial Mammoth, relatives of the Woolly Mammoth.

Alas, the only continent the Woolly Mammoth didn't inhabit was Australia. They found some well preserved Woollys in the Arctic Circle.

definitely this. It pisses me off that I live on a river In Maine, and I can barely eat the fish coming out of it because the mercury is so ****ing high because of the pollution caused by states west of us.

This is so wrong it is stupid. Of course climate change alters ocean currents, both global warming and cooling.

this article has some pretty good info and links to other info. It talks about science though, so you’ll probably dismiss the whole thing as propaganda because the oil executives tell you scientists are liars

I suggest you study the levels of the fish in Maine plus study the level of Mercury considered toxic and the higher level called Fatal.

When the urine mercury concentration exceeds 100 μg/L, neurological symptoms can develop, and the level of 800 μg/L or above can be fatal. Organic mercury such as methylmercury is usually excreted to the feces.Jan 22, 2016

Why do you believe all scientists accept the theory by Democrats that man is the control over Climate?

I need more persuasion that man is the controlling factor of climate.

    More computer models ?
Say what? Why would he need a link on common knowledge that the entire world is related?

How do you measure the levels of the fish caught? What state river goes to Maine that you are telling us of?

WHICH MAINE LAKES ARE MOST CONTAMINATED?

117 lakes scattered throughout the state have been studied. The amount of mercury each contained was assessed indirectly via the level of mercury contamination in their fish populations. Generally, lakes in southern and coastal regions produced fish with the highest concentrations of mercury. But these were also the areas that contained the best habitat for the most heavily contaminated warm-water species such as pickerel and bass.

More study is needed to determine which (if any) Maine lakes have an acute mercury problem. Studies done in other states, however, indicate that reservoirs that have been fairly recently flooded, and lakes with large watersheds and numerous in-flowing streams, are at greatest risk.

DOES MERCURY CONTAMINATE FISH IN MAINE RIVERS TOO?

Generally, mercury levels are lower in river-dwelling fish than in lake fish, but there are certain rivers, like the lower Penobscot, that have elevated mercury levels in their fish relative to other rivers. To date, only a limited number of river fish have been tested.

CAN YOU TELL IF A FISH THAT YOU CATCH IS CONTAMINATED?

You can’t tell the level of mercury contamination by a fish’s outward appearance or behavior. It must be tested in a laboratory. Currently there are no state resources available to pay for testing of fish. However, individuals or groups can arrange for testing of fish privately.

Glad to see someone is admitting it, your answer is no one knows how much is natural variance and how much is man made.

Worse than that, their science is shallow and not conclusive.

I prefer discussing such topics with actual experts. Did I claim it is part of what the IPCC states?

You disclosed your personal bias in case you did not pay attention.

Do you engage in many topics where you are not remotely an expert in said topic?

I like pickerel. I kept a cooler on the boat and the fish went straight from the water to the cooler. I liked pickerel and developed a way to do them easily. I'd scale it and then steam it. After that the fish would fall off the bones. For the non-fishing types, pickerel bones are a nightmare, but this was easy.

    Made a terrific chowder.

He's not ignoring the science... he doesn't have to be a genius, he has thousands of scientists doing that for him.

Ocean currents change naturally. We don’t have any impact on that either.

No idea of the future due to not being a fortune teller, but from NASA .. 1880 until now (140 years) a mere 9 inches. Hardly what I would scream bloody murder about.

By naturally you mean those that have long existed in nature that man has no control over. The flow of the current from the Caribbean to Greenland is one of said flows.

There are other currents found in the oceans of this planet.

Actually, we do know, and we've known for a long time. Even before that, it was theorised, but we've known since the 1970s.

Regardless of what your stance on climate change is...

Until China gets onboard with lowering emissions, nothing the USA does matters. China consumes more energy and produces more CO2 than America and the EU combined.
