FoxHastings said: ↑ Bodily autonomy or bodily integrity, is the belief that people should have the right to have full control over their own body and be able to make choices concerning their own body, free from coercion or influence (so long as those decisions do not become a public health concern). It is affecting NO ONE else....a pregnant woman is ONE person not several..
Who caused the damage is STILL not required to use their body (part) to sustain the life of another. GIVE an example of someone who caused an accident being forced to give body parts to the injured victims. No, but she has to USE her body to sustain the life of the fetus. NO one else is forced to do that. It is ENTIRELY HER BODY.
Yeah, pregnancy is unique. A lot of things are, but that doesn't answer the question and you example.....not close. So if you voluntarily moved a body part you would kill someone? That's the same as saying holding a gun on someone, you don't necessarily have they right to bend your trigger finger under those circumstances, even though you normally do. On vaccinations, you live in society with people that have the same rights as you and they have right to be protected from disease. If you lived alone on an island you have every right not to get vaccinated. Hypocrisy does not make the belief wrong.
So if a woman goes to a sperm bank, and then she later changes her mind at 20 weeks gestation and decides she doesn't want to have a baby, she should not go to jail?
On vaccinations, careful what you consider the right to be protected. But then liberals have always treated their subjects as chattel.
Bodily autonomy most certainly does encompass vaccinations, injections of any sort, consumption of foods and fluids.
Oh really ?....and what are women who are forced to gestate because Republicans destroyed their right to bodily autonomy...'??? They will be nothing more than cattle, broodstock, chattel, slaves..
FoxHastings said: ↑ No, vaccination does not require anyone using their body to sustain the life of another (without their consent). No, vaccination does not require anyone using their body to sustain the life of another (without their consent).
Absolutely. However, bodily autonomy has precisely NOTHING to do with abortion. I have the right to do what I want to my own body with no assistance from anyone - THAT is bodily autonomy.
Gosh, who knows... responsible? And while you're on your soap box, explain the reason that democrats so fully endorse the genocide that is african american abortion. Folks get it. The right to choose, for you is the ability to cull the heard. It's pretty obvious.
Do you know what an "oxymoron" is? It's the following: ""However, bodily autonomy has precisely NOTHING to do with abortion. I have the right to do what I want to my own body with no assistance from anyone -""" Why do YOU want that right but don't want pregnant women to have that right?
FoxHastings said: ↑ Oh really ?....and what are women who are forced to gestate because Republicans destroyed their right to bodily autonomy...'??? They will be nothing more than cattle, broodstock, chattel, slaves.. LOL, another oxymoron... the freedom to CHOOSE is being forced to abort ?? LOL... Democrats do not endorse genocide...that is inflammatory and silly emotional hyperbole with, of course, no basis in fact. Sounds like you don't want black women to have the same rights as white women... why is that?
Repeating yourself doesn't change the actual definition. Bodily autonomy does not include supporting the life of another. Bodily autonomy DOES include the right to refuse vaccinations.
FoxHastings said: ↑ No, vaccination does not require anyone using their body to sustain the life of another (without their consent). No, vaccination does not require anyone using their body to sustain the life of another (without their consent). Repeating yourself with errors doesn't change the facts. You say, ""Bodily autonomy does not include supporting the life of another" So if I need a new heart or a kidney, I can force you to give me yours...?
No one said folks were being forced..... yet. But read your own green new deal. There is a fine line between being incentivized and being "forced". I would be happy to have anyone have the number of children they can care for. Democrats have always been adopters of Eugenics. That hasn't changed. It's the underlying reason for their support of abortion to being with. Margret Sanger ring a bell? but sure, democrats believe in their ability to be pragmatic and simply say they are "helping" the poor by allowing their abortion appetite...
Yes, you: "" that democrats so fully endorse the genocide that is african american abortion.""" And if they can't care for them Republicans whine about supporting poor children. . Pure inflammatory hyperbole. Ya, she despised abortion and so pushed for women to have access to birth control, ALL women, not just white women. So you think poor people enjoy getting abortions....that's weird
I absolutely think that women should have the right to do what they want with their body with no assistance from anyone. Again, THAT is 'bodily autonomy.'
