Probably the worst Speaker of the House for the country ever. And even for her own party once again coming off a loss of seats. This is the most unserious SoH I have ever seen. Compare her to a Newt Gingrich who got things done like balancing budgets. This will mean more obstruction to anything unless she gets everything she demands. It will mean her petty and bitter acts against her political opposition and out right insults to them. This will mean more caving to the radical left and passing legislation to put us under more and more government control which will never get through a more rational Republican Senate.

Welcome to another do nothing Democrat controlled government.

Nancy Pelosi Backed by House Democrats to Serve Fourth Term as Speaker
WASHINGTON—House Democrats backed Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday for another term as speaker, after a tumultuous two years in which she helmed the party’s efforts to remove President Trump from office but lost seats in the recent election.

Mrs. Pelosi ran unchallenged for the position.........

They were even to afraid to run anyone against her.

    Why run anybody against her?

That would be a Fool's Errand.

Because she's a vengeful witch who punishes people who run against her, vote for her opponent and don't support her political agenda, that's why.

    Who cares?

As long as she has enough people that agree with her?

If Trump came through on his promise of term limits this would not even be an issue.

It would have been difficult. It would require a change to the constitution but I believed it would have been a good change even though it was highly unlikely. Our political system is infested with career politicians that have become extremely wealthy from that career. Something I do not think voters would support. I guess the idea that these very same lawmakers would vote to end their own access to the honey pot is too much to expect of them.

    I agree.

But, it would be impossible to get 2/3 of the States to change the Constitution.

I think the founders made it much too difficult to amend the constitution. In the last 200 years it has only happened a little over 2 dozen times with over 10,000 amendments proposed. With the polarization we face now I can't imagine it happening again anytime soon.

    Exactly.

Everybody is too invested in the status quo.

i think you over-estimate the intelligence of the electorate. as long as they see some profit, they will put up with almost anything. harry reid is a perfect example of this. he was almost universally despised by the people of nevada, but he kept the pork pipeline open. hated or not, he was senator for the state of nevada for three decades because his contacts kept the money rolling into the state and the people knew it. that his politics were slowly but surely destroying the country was evident, but his constituency was more concerned with the money than the future of the nation.

would you prefer constant repetitions of the eighteenth amendment? the constitution was meant to be a set of general guidelines by which the states were supposed to govern, not a way to micromanage the lives of the citizenry.

she is doing a great job!

sure she doesn't push far left agenda, but what would be the point, the Senate would never pass it

Considering the Marxist-progressive takeover of the left currently in progress I think we're lucky to have Speaker Pelosi, as much of a detestable crow as she is, because we could of ended up with some Squat member.

She’s one of the most effective speakers in history. Virtually never loses a floor vote.
Republicans also hated their own speakers when they had the majority lol

Correct, too old and feeble. Or you think she is going to die in office also? Nah.
