There are several possible reasons for this.
    1. Other studies do show masks help. This study may just be an outlier.
    2. Masks are more about protecting other people from you than protecting you.
    3. Many people have very bad masks. Find a more effective mask.
    4. Many people don't wear their masks right. Like touching the front of their masks with their fingers, or touching their face without washing their hands rigorously.

Nothing misleading about it, the P-100 rating is for particulates not any form of gas, particulate filters are not capable of capturing a virus and yes while they can trap droplets the moisture that makes up the droplets will eventually evaporate and release the virus contain within, allowing the person utilizing the filter to inhale the virus's.

As such the do not provide any protection against virus's, they are simply the wrong filter for that task.

And that is all that counts, making a blanket claim that masks save lies is false, masks are actually dangerous, however some respirators, equipped with the proper filters, can reduce one's chances of catching the virus, the problem is a person wanting to buy one must read through a rather long list of filters to find the correct one.

The second problem is a lot of what is being imported from China with ratings that where never tested for, the only test was did the rating print properly on the device.

So, you made a false claim about what I said and when you were corrected you came up with this trash talk.
A stupid lie. I specifically said I don't recommend the respirator because it does not have NIOSH approval.
Considered counterfeit by whom? It isn't misrepresented as having NIOSH certification.
    Who are you to say?
Back with your "proffering" lie? :puke:

You're accusing me of a crime. Sicko stuff.

Or wearing one for more than 8 hours, or washing one, or only covering their mouth and then breathing through their nose.

And it is a myth that masks protect others, by exhaling a contaminated person will eventually push through and out of a mask droplets that are holding the virus.

One way around that is to have a check valve on the mask which allows the person wearing one to be able to exhale without his breath passing through the mask, but that totally defeats the purpose of wearing one to begin with.

So if as it has been stated, masks do not protect the wearer and a mask with a check valve doesn't protect people around the person wearing one, what is the reason for wearing a mask, the correct answer is there is no reason other than to make the wearer and those around that person feel better.

Is the infection rate still rising? Are masks worn by virtually everyone?

Even you should be able to see a corollary here. Masks are ineffective despite your continued whining to the contrary.

Of course never being willing to admit your mistake you will never acknowledge this fact, just continue to repeat what others tell you.

Relevance? The infection rate might even be higher without masks.
    The Mayo Clinic says otherwise.

How did I lose the corona virus? I work in small quarters with many other soldiers. I don't fear the virus with a TINY mortality rate and that has a testing ratio very high for false positives. I live my life normally.

    Do you leave the house?

You do realize that "might" is not a exact and provable statement, right? You "might" be intelligent but have offered no proof of that.

The Mayo clinic says what it paid to say, since the majority of its funding is from the government, making it a doubtful source.

Coming from one who definitely does not know what you are talking about, this is a daring, and false, statement made from your own bigotry and desire for power, of which you have none.

You really should stop before embarrassing yourself further. Or gain some actual facts that are not bought and paid for by government.

There is a farm store a few miles from here. It's just a room with fridges and freezers. I rode my bicycle there, got raw milk, a soup bone and chicken thighs. All local, mostly organic. Got back about ten minutes ago.

Trump lost the election, and most of this nonsense was about defending him. Beyond that, we have people, like Fauci, that are really quite good at this, and the stupid states are starting to listen now. So you are losing to expertise, as well.

Masks don't completely prevent droplets from leaving, but they do reduce them enough to make six feet social distancing effective. Hospitals have been using masks for decades and I can assure you they are very effective if used properly.

That's why all those doctors and Governor Newsom are wearing masks at his birthday party - they really work. ;-)

The election was obviously rigged. It's what DP party bosses do.
The courts will probably stop the coup, and that will be a lucky break for the Trump haters.

Even Fauci does not listen to Fauci. Probably a lesson there. ;-)

I am losing? I am winning. I go to work, support my unit and the needs of the Army, and then can grab a drink after I change out of my uniform and am officially off the clock. I go to a hole in the wall bar with great personalities there.

How exactly are you spending your time? Sounds to me that you're on "high alert". lol

I Double Dog Dare you to cite 1 (one) randomized clinical trial conducted before the CCP/DP China Virus pandemic that shows that masks reduce the spread of any virus, and there have been many clinical trials designed to discover ways to prevent the spread of viruses - this has been a priority for at least 7 decades. So, finding just one should be - like way easy - right? :)
