Pfizer actually is part of operation warp speed and they have corrected the record to reflect that. Moderna and Astra also participated in it. They received the infrastructure the cash guarantees and the pre purchases warp speed set up. The Trump vaccine will begin distribution two weeks before Christmas.

I am border line as a near senior who has a few minor co morbidities and work with a special needs population. I support the medical professionals and elderly getting it first.

Reads like you have the impression this wonder vaccine is a cure.. You're going to be sorely disappointed finding out you will still contract the virus only with a slightly stronger "ACCLIMATED" human immune system! Same thing tens of millions of folks like myself built without intervention from side effect experimental drugs..

Nope, the US will get only 10 or maybe 15% of the production in December, that is 5 to 7.5 million people, 2 doses and the whole process till immunity sets in will take 4 weeks.
If we are Lucky we might get 50% of the Health Care workers properly vaccinated till January 20.

Pfizer is a US multinational pharmaceutical corporation. They have numerous labs outside the US. They pick the lab best qualified and best equipped to develop the specific pharmaceutical. There are zero reasons to limit that choice to the US.
