Current death toll - more than 275,000. 2804 died yesterday. Given infection numbers have been rising and deaths follow weeks later, the daily death rate is bound to increase. Even if it stays steady, it will only take about 8 days to reach 300,000 deaths. Fear mongering? It would be a complete miracle if deaths didn't pass 300,000.
