In my research, it is not good to call them names. For example, when kids lie, calling them a liar only strengthens the identity we are trying to discourage. Separating the actions from the identity works better. "I am surprised you lied to me. Its not like you. You're not a liar" is more effective.

 

And we think that after four years of dems clutching pearls, they ought to attempt to maintain some standard of decorum like they've been insisting they want for the last four years. Of course, we can now see that was all hypocritical political theater, so here we are.
