    Well seems your beef is with them not having the same reporting practices. That's fine. Personally I don't want the government enmeshed in a Soviet style control of church business, I'd rather they keep their hands off.

    They're also a business, just as Red Cross and Salvation Army are. If they meet the specifications for a non-profit they should not be discriminated on the basis of religion. Not in this country.

    The rise of the hospital system in our country sprang from the Christian churches. The Gutenberg press was created to print the Bible. Your position seems pretty bigoted.

    We have a separation of church and state. Gov funds cannot go to religious orgs.

    There is no comparison. It has been Christian compassion that has built the orphanages and fed the hungry. When your atheist buds accomplish something compassionate let me know.

    Nope. But if you're paying payroll taxes then you should not be discriminated against in keeping your employees employed regardless of your religion.

    What does the date have to do with only dem govs shutting down economy? AS the claim was made.

    So you agree, Dems weren't the only gov's or state's to shut down economy. Which was exactly my point.

    Do you think a recognized under the tax code religious establishment should have to pay some kind of income tax on donations received? What about political parties? What about environmental and civil rights groups? How about the Reverend Raphael Warnock running for one of the Georgia Senate seats and income he receives for his ministering under Reverend Wright?

    What was your point about Desantis doing so 8 months ago, that was then and we had a stimulus and PPP. This is now Desantis is not shutting down the economy in Florida he's trying to get it going but in a tourist based economy he faces one of the toughest jobs of any governor.

    You are correct, there should be no comparison(which YOU brought up) because we weren't discussing comparing christianity to anything else....YOU brought up the comparison which had nothing to do with my original post (
