I challenge you to come up with a way government can enforce laws that failed long before the internet and abortion drugs.

Nothing you say changes the fact that a baby starts to develop limbs and a heart beat at 3 weeks old. Life should be protected.

They just don't want to admit a baby is a living breathing thing.

A zef before birth is a potential human and has, rightly, significantly fewer rights than the woman carrying it.

I see you have a Really Hard time addressing posts that challenge your ridiculous assumptions but how about you show PROOF that anyone ever said a baby is not a living breathing thing ??

When one has to make things up it shows beyond any doubt they have no point, no argument, no facts, ...they have nothing and it shows :) :) :)

An ovum is a potential human being. A spermatozoa is a potential human being. Once they meet and fertilization occurs the potential is realized. You have obviously failed to think this through.

After they meet life is created. I think that's the point he was getting at.

They should recognize a fetus as a living breathing developing baby with the right to live.

    Who are "they" ?

WHO says a fetus is not a living developing baby?

    A fetus has no rights.

IF it had the same rights as everyone else it would also have the same restrictions.

One of those restrictions is that a person cannot use another's body to sustain their life...

It is alive and developing its body and yes it does breath by getting oxygen from its mother. It also starts developing a heart beat.

A fetus is a creation created by man, woman and God because God created all of us.

It is a growing human being in its early stages.

Prove god exists and we can agree to completely end abortion.
If it is such an important thing to him and he is all knowing — why didn’t he put a single passage in the bible?
Why does everything in the bible need translation by people such as yourself who obviously know more than god does.

God is nothing but a convenient excuse to push your own agenda.

And no, a baby doesn’t breathe. It’s cells are oxygenated by the mother.
That you believe women should be treated as slaves to the state does hold well with your biblical level of thinking however.

Technically, oxygen diffuses across the wall of the uterus, into the placenta (which belongs to the fetus). It is the fetus's heart that pumps the blood in the placenta into the fetus's body.
Yes, it is true the woman originally breathed in that oxygen.

I'm not sure that you can claim that being obligated to do something (continue to give life to a developing human life you brought into being) qualifies as "slavery".
Especially when the woman is free to move around, and when the whole ordeal only lasts for 9 months, and the woman has control over whether it happens again.

She doesn't have to do anything. Basically all she has to do is stay decently healthy and then give birth. It's mostly about what she's not allowed to do.

Correct. But the fetus isn’t breathing which is “the process of taking air into and expelling it from the lungs”.

So implications that a fetus or zygote is a “living breathing human” are not correct.

Oh, so how about we ban abortion right after that stage then, and not any later?

Show me the developmental picture of up to how late you think the woman should be able to kill it.

Absolutely we can ban abortion once a human arrives at that stage. Tell me, at what stage do you believe that is in human development. Just from looking — (hint: it’s not human)

But you forgot! Women are NOT obligated to gestate and YOU have NEVER proven they are.

Uh, Freedom means more than the abilty to "move around".....women have the same rights as men whether you like it or not..

SO! You FINALLY admit it's an ordeal! Wow, good for YOU to admit the obvious!!!

NOW...please tell me who TF YOU are to determine what length of time people should be punished for having sex...
    ,

Women have control now, they can get an abortion :) :) :)

All "she" has to do is anything she damn pleases......that does bother you , doesn't it :) :) :)

No, everything in a woman's body belongs to her....no one else, not the fetus and certainly not YOU.

So without the woman breathing in the oxygen the fetus dies......so it is NOT a separate entity ...it lives off the woman it's in..

When you deprive a person of their right to bodily autonomy, as Anti-Choicers wish to do to women , that is slavery....

    LOL OMGAWD!

"""She doesn't have to do anything" "" !!!!!!

EXCEPT suffer financial loss, career /educational setbacks, time off work for doctor's appointments, the pain of pregnancy and childbirth

    AND go through :

Normal, frequent or expectable temporary side effects of pregnancy:

    • exhaustion (weariness common from first weeks)
    • altered appetite and senses of taste and smell
    • nausea and vomiting (50% of women, first trimester)
    • heartburn and indigestion
    • constipation
    • weight gain
    • dizziness and light-headedness
    • bloating, swelling, fluid retention
    • hemmorhoids
    • abdominal cramps
    • yeast infections
    • congested, bloody nose
    • acne and mild skin disorders
    • skin discoloration (chloasma, face and abdomen)
    • mild to severe backache and strain
    • increased headaches
    • difficulty sleeping, and discomfort while sleeping
    • increased urination and incontinence
    • bleeding gums
    • pica
    • breast pain and discharge
    • swelling of joints, leg cramps, joint paininfection including from serious and potentially fatal disease
(pregnant women are immune suppressed compared with non-pregnant women, and are more susceptible to fungal and certain other diseases)
    • extreme pain on delivery
    • hormonal mood changes, including normal post-partum depression
    • continued post-partum exhaustion and recovery period (exacerbated if a c-section -- major surgery -- is required, sometimes taking up to a full year to fully recover)
Normal, expectable, or frequent PERMANENT side effects of pregnancy:

    • stretch marks (worse in younger women)
    • loose skin
    • permanent weight gain or redistribution
    • abdominal and vaginal muscle weakness
    • pelvic floor disorder (occurring in as many as 35% of middle-aged former child-bearers and 50% of elderly former child-bearers, associated with urinary and rectal incontinence, discomfort and reduced quality of life -- aka prolapsed utuerus, the malady sometimes badly fixed by the transvaginal mesh)
    • changes to breasts
    • increased foot size
    • varicose veins
    • scarring from episiotomy or c-section
    • other permanent aesthetic changes to the body (all of these are downplayed by women, because the culture values youth and beauty)
    • increased proclivity for hemmorhoids
    • loss of dental and bone calcium (cavities and osteoporosis)
    • higher lifetime risk of developing Altzheimer's
    • newer research indicates microchimeric cells, other bi-directional exchanges of DNA, chromosomes, and other bodily material between fetus and mother (including with "unrelated" gestational surrogates)
    Occasional complications and side effects:

    • complications of episiotomy
    • spousal/partner abuse
    • hyperemesis gravidarum
    • temporary and permanent injury to back
    • severe scarring requiring later surgery
      (especially after additional pregnancies)
    • dropped (prolapsed) uterus (especially after additional pregnancies, and other pelvic floor weaknesses -- 11% of women, including cystocele, rectocele, and enterocele)
    • pre-eclampsia (edema and hypertension, the most common complication of pregnancy, associated with eclampsia, and affecting 7 - 10% of pregnancies)
    • eclampsia (convulsions, coma during pregnancy or labor, high risk of death)
    • gestational diabetes
    • placenta previa
    • anemia (which can be life-threatening)
    • thrombocytopenic purpura
    • severe cramping
    • embolism (blood clots)
    • medical disability requiring full bed rest (frequently ordered during part of many pregnancies varying from days to months for health of either mother or baby)
    • diastasis recti, also torn abdominal muscles
    • mitral valve stenosis (most common cardiac complication)
    • serious infection and disease (e.g. increased risk of tuberculosis)
    • hormonal imbalance
    • ectopic pregnancy (risk of death)
    • broken bones (ribcage, "tail bone")
    • hemorrhage and
    • numerous other complications of delivery
    • refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease
    • aggravation of pre-pregnancy diseases and conditions (e.g. epilepsy is present in .5% of pregnant women, and the pregnancy alters drug metabolism and treatment prospects all the while it increases the number and frequency of seizures)
    • severe post-partum depression and psychosis
    • research now indicates a possible link between ovarian cancer and female fertility treatments, including "egg harvesting" from infertile women and donors
    • research also now indicates correlations between lower breast cancer survival rates and proximity in time to onset of cancer of last pregnancy
    • research also indicates a correlation between having six or more pregnancies and a risk of coronary and cardiovascular disease
    Less common (but serious) complications:

    • peripartum cardiomyopathy
    • cardiopulmonary arrest
    • magnesium toxicity
    • severe hypoxemia/acidosis
    • massive embolism
    • increased intracranial pressure, brainstem infarction
    • molar pregnancy, gestational trophoblastic disease
      (like a pregnancy-induced cancer)
    • malignant arrhythmia
    • circulatory collapse
    • placental abruption
    • obstetric fistula
    More permanent side effects:

    • future infertility
    • permanent disability
    • death.
