Taking names of Democracy enemies on 1/6/2021

On Wednesday 1/6/2021 all Democracy-loving Americans should write down the names of every single proponent of an anti-democratic coup d'état who will be challenging the Electoral College votes in other to appease a sore loser delusional lame duck president who keeps whining about non-existing electoral fraud.

We've been one of the most important democratic republics in the world for the entire duration of our national history. These sycophants are trying to destroy that tradition just to favor one man. Their oath is to the Constitution, not to that man.

If you a patriotic, democracy-loving Republican, make sure that you vote against these idiots next time they are in primaries. If you are a patriotic, democracy-loving Democrat or independent, make sure that if they survive their primaries, you boot them out in the general elections.

Anybody who supports this travesty doesn't deserver to serve in the American Congress. They should move to some Banana Republic in South America or Africa or some Asian dictatorship and apply for citizenship there. Not that I think that the people of South America, Africa, and Asia deserve them; but they certainly would fit better there than here.

 

Because it’s so terrible to use the tools given us within the constitution to do a lawful constitutional act. How dare there be debate and an actual full airing out of the issues for all to see and make their own decision. The horrors of it all!!!!

The group formed with Cruz, which presented no new evidence of election problems, includes Sens. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, James Lankford of Oklahoma, Steve Daines of Montana, John Kennedy of Louisiana, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee and Mike Braun of Indiana. New senators in the group are Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Roger Marshall of Kansas, Bill Hagerty of Tennessee and Tommy Tuberville of Alabama.

I'm not "the Left." Like I said, both Republicans and Democrats, as well as independents, should seek to defeat these enemies of Democracy and these proponents of a coup d'état, next time they run for reelection.

We'll need to keep track of the House Representatives who take this dangerous and anti-democratic path as well.

 

Only naive or intentionally misleading people think that what is going on is normal. This is a coup attempt. The attempt to change the role of Vice-President Pence, for example (which the appellate court has just thrown out, too, reaffirming the decision of the district court) is NOT anticipated in law. Get informed.

Not to forget, there's been push for use of martial law and instigation of violence, and an illegal attempt to pressure Georgia's SoS to "find" votes to overturn the election. This is not a lawful constitutional act.

 

Of course. We already know what they would do with such a list. Many are calling for any lawyer that has represented Trump to be disbarred. Even weaponizing the ethics complaint board in Arizona where some lawyers have filed ethics complaints against 21 of Trumps lawyers.

No doubt many Trump Haters will cheer such a move. Just watch in 3...2...1.....

 

Since they are all representing Trump country, there is no way in hell that voters will hold them accountable. That's why their anti-democratic spiel will work for them -> keep the Trump base excited and voting for them. They don't care about America or the constitution, they only care about getting re-elected.

It is not illegal. IMO it is unwise, but it's not illegal. What you are suggesting is not only horrifying, but you are on the same level as Maxine Waters, promoting the idea that people should be put 'on a list' because they do something that you disagree with.

Voting them out is perfectly legal, unlike some of the actions in this attempt coup (inciting violence, threatening election officials) so the people who condone this need to be voted out as they are a threat to Democracy.

These are people trying to overturn millions of votes. Literally overturn them. They deserve to be publicly derided as the greatest threat (though still an insufficient one) to US democracy. If you can't understand how that is different from the Soviet Union, no one can help you. But $50 says you didn't draw the same comparison when Trump called the press public enemies.

 

What Yardmeat said in post #18. And I stand behind what I said. Holding our representatives accountable when they screw up in their Congressional votes, is part of Democracy.

 

I don't agree with what they are doing. The election is over. None of this will change the results. However, it is according to the law and Constitution. You can take names and then vote them out of office, providing you live in their state. Otherwise, just stand back and enjoy the show.

 

If you believe Biden "won" I have some deeds to sell you. When maybe 80 people showed up to his events, half or more were reporters.

 

If you think there is evidence he didn't win, take a long, hard look at that picture, pack on a few leprechauns and chupacabras, and realize that you've bought dozens of "deeds" already.
