If we've learned nothing over these 4 years, the last group to know anything is the WH...

MSNBC crawl says 8 (up from 6).

7 Yea votes so far during actual voting...

You can't get more lame than that.
Biden said he had fought for America and democracy.
Biden told supporters to fight for Democrats.
Biden supporters didn't march on Republican strongholds. They fought on the phones, they got out the vote, they sent out emails.

Trump called for supporters to fight for him.
Trump told rallies and supporters "we're probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them. Because you'll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong."

He said "You don't concede when there's theft involved. Our country has had enough and we will not take it any more," he declared in his roughly 70-minute speech. "And we fight. We fight like hell and if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore."

Trump shared his message on social media, posting a now-deleted video on Twitter telling those who were rioting down the street that he loved them and "you're very special." While repeating his false incitement that "an election was stolen from us"

Trump rationalized the insurgents' actions: "These are the things that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long."

On the day of insurrection, Trump continued to falsely claim that the election was stolen without any evidence to support this unreality, further riling up his followers to “take the country back.”

He said "The Republicans have to get tougher. You’re not going to have a Republican party if you don’t get tougher."

And "We’re going to have somebody in there that should not be in there and our country will be destroyed, and we’re not going to stand for that."

    And the insurrection began.

BluesBoy, you know this. You grasp the difference. You know there's no comparison and that your post I quoted here is bullshit.

The Democrats don't want to see Trump just disappear. They need him to unite their party. It's the only thing that does, the common hatred of Trump. If he slips into the twilight, Pelosi's party will fall apart. So, the obsession with Donald Trump continues and they will never get anything done. On the other hand, they would never get anything done if Trump was gone either, because of the fracture. I'm unsure why Republicans are signing on, unless they just want to be popular and not be blamed.

As has been noted previously, the "attack" started before Trump's speech had even concluded. The President was still talking 1.5 miles away while protesters were breaking their way through perimeter fences.

Its impeachable. You don't get to pick out ONE Sentence in a 45 minute harangue and ignore the rest.
He fabricated and promoted the Big Lie about a stolen election. He conned his faithful outtaq $250 million to "stop the steal" (and gimme a huge slush fund for shitsandgiggles).

But never mind, it strikes me that no amount of rational explanation can overcome your ideological and emotional entrenchment.

Hmmm...good point. It's possible they're overstating the cross-overs to claim some sort of victory after the loss. Nah...they wouldn't do that would they?

    :roflol:

    Yeah, right.

    Give me a break:bored:

Anyway, back to the Actual Topic, I am glad to see even a handful of Repubs voting against Trump.

This is (Truly) a Bi-Partisan Impeachment.

139 House GOP members voted against certifying the election for Biden. 201 apparently are voting against Trump impeachment. What is wrong with those people? Do they really want to hurt America so badly because of their love of Trump?

And the Democrats in over 20 cities from late May until early June let nearly 30 people die from the riots in their cities. I guess I just Trumped you on that one.

Wish I had your optimism. I fear that Four years from now many of the brainwashed will still be blaming Trump and Harris/Biden will get a pass.

Trump spoke from 11:50 am to just after 1 pm.
Police radio logs show that their outer parameter around the Capitol was breached at 2:11 pm.

The average human walks 1 mile in 15 - 20 minutes. Your 1.5 miles would take 30 - 40 minutes for slow walkers.
    Want to try again?
