    When was that vote taken?

    I go by the Constitution.

They were invited to come to DC to his rally and then to peacefully and patriotically march to the Capital to VOICE their concerns just as has happened since the beginning of my country.

It doesn't count as evidence here because the Dems presented no evidence nor was Trump allowed to rebut.

But if we, my country not you, start charging every politician who has ever told their constituents to come and march on Washington and fight to have their voices heard then we, my country not you, better start hiring a bunch prosecutors and judges and building new courtrooms to hold the trials. And we, my country no you, already have Harris on record inciting and supporting and aiding and abetting insurrection so will the Democrats impeach her now or will we, my country not you, have to wait to see if the Republicans take back the House which is likely after their HUGE loss this election.

For a charge of insurrection VERY explicit and exact words. And you have no proof Trump's intent was a insurrection at the Capital and in fact he used VERY explicit and exact words otherwise. You nor the Democrats get to put thoughts in his mind and them convict of them.

Mob boss: You know that guy I was talking about last week, why don't you walk to his place and say hello for me.
Luigi: Ok boss... (goes to that guy home and put two bullets in the back of his head)
Mob boss: Thanks Luigi, now go home peacefully, we love you Luigi!

No need. Intent is what matter in court.

    True.

That entire "argument" (of the person that you responded to) has been dismantled 1000x over.

The way that so many of Trump's Apologists have been repeating (ad nauseam) that spurious "he didn't say those exact words" BS has gotten beyond comical.

Yet, they persist with that egregiously misguided (and easily dismantled "talking point".

I guess that some people still have a hard time accepting that Trump LOST (in a Landslide).

Hopefully, they come to grips with REALITY.

If not, certain people are going to be in for a Long 4 Years

Yeah sorry but that's really lame. It seems pretty common for those on the left to completely fabricate nefarious motives with zero evidence and use their own fictional scenarios to try and destroy others.

No, he invited QAnon, militia and white supremacists to organize next year's Toys For Tots on the Hill Drive.

Yeah, that's what he expected. He loved it. And he loves them. Those are his words.

    Yeah?? Guess again.....

Check out pages 22/23 - Conducting Legislative and Executive Business

    SNIP
This might mean that the Senate chooses to spend some period of a day meeting in legislative or executive session and also spend a period meeting as Court of Impeachment, in order to provide an opportunity for other actions to occur.

As a result, it is possible for the Senate to convene to conduct business in legislative (or executive) session before noon, convene the trial at noon pursuant to the rules (or at some other time if decided by the Senate), adjourn the impeachment trial for the day and return to legislative (or executive) session to conduct more business. The Senate could also meet for other purposes on days the Senate is not meeting for the trial.

Need I remind you who will be doing the choosing shortly?

All perfectly true, but Biden will be able to do all of that while the trial is going on.... as well the Senate, as I posted above... The Senate might finally have to put in some hours under a new gavel...

If there was enough evidence to vote to impeach, there should be enough evidence to start the mechanics of starting the trial...

    Liz said so....

no, but apply enough pressure and intimidation tactics to get Pence to ditch the constitution and reject the results. Since he knows no boundaries, he didn't recognize the obvious results of the whirlwind he released.

all based on a collossal pile of steaming bullshit to cover his sound rejection by the American People. Thank whatever ya got he's not smart enough to pull it off.

That's because it's just a political stunt, exactly like it was last time.

You know what else matters in court? Even Senate court?

    Competent Legal Representation...

It's been reported that Trump isn't even going to pay Good Dog Rudy for whatever legal work he's been doing

    SNIP
“I’m not terribly surprised that top tier conservative attorneys who a Republican president might normally turn to would not be interested in jumping on this particular grenade,” said Whittington. “Those who might have been sympathetic to defending the president in other contexts such as his first impeachment don’t necessarily want to defend what he’s done here — both because they aren’t easy to defend and they’ll tarnish people’s professional reputation down the road.”

Remember the times that many Trump supporters used to defend what Trump said because they said with Trump you had to read between the lines and not take what he says literally, well it seems like they've changed their minds. Suddenly the proof they want are his exact words. They seem to have lost the ability to read between the lines. The rioters at Capitol kept that ability and followed Trump's requests

He loves the people that came out to support him. He harshly condemned those who committed criminal activities. Why must you change what he actually says to fit your scenario?
