Like you, I think Tubman is a great person to put on the bill, especially replacing Jackson who had a less than glorious past even by the standards of the time. Really not sure why Trump continuously showed his admiration for Jackson and compared himself to Jackson.

The bigger question is why does the left have an issue with historical statues?

The push for cancel culture, racial political correctness, and identity politics is 100% the result of middle class liberal guilt invoked by propaganda pushed through media and education.

They feel that they are taking a stand to injustice and correcting errors of the past. They aren't. They are only satisfying their own desire to resolve self guilt and everybody else is just rolling their eyes.
