Voting-machine maker Dominion sues MyPillow founder for $1.3 billion over election conspiracy theories https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/securi...tion-conspiracy-n1258500?cid=eml_nbn_20210222 Good!! These conspiracy theories and lies are getting out of hand. and can be very hurtful / destructive.
How this entrepreneur went from a crack addict to a self-made multimillionaire https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/20/how...om-crack-addict-to-self-made-millionaire.html Mike Lindell's usage of crack cocaine previously may help explain his inability to deal with reality.
Disclaimer: I have never own one of his pillows or mattresses or dog pads or whatever else this guy has produced. I can't stand his commercials and if I could would train my smart TV to play something else every time one came on I'd do it. I don't like people selling me stuff trying to exploit their religious beliefs as this guy seems to do but I can't judge his motivations on their face I don't know. I certainly do not look to him for political opinion. That being said here is the first article of Dominions filing. COMPLAINT AND DEMAND FOR JURY TRIAL 1.After hitting the jackpot with Donald Trump’s endorsement for MyPillow and after a million-dollar bet on Fox News ads had paid out handsome returns, Michael Lindell exploited another chance to boost sales: marketing MyPillow to people who would tune in and attend rallies to hear Lindell tell the “Big Lie” that Dominion had stolen the 2020 election. As when MyPillow previously faced legal action for deceptive marketing campaigns, Lindell knew there was no real “evidence” supporting his claims. And he is well aware of the independent audits and paper ballot recounts conclusively disproving the Big Lie. But Lindell—a talented salesman and former professional card counter—sells the lie to this day because the lie sells pillows. MyPillow’s defamatory marketing campaign—with promo codes like “FightforTrump,” “45,” “Proof,” and “QAnon”—has increased MyPillow sales by 30-40% and continues duping people into redirecting their election-lie outrage into pillow purchases. Their lawyers actually wrote that? I don't know the business law here I think it can be difficult for a business to file such a claim as opposed to an individual citizen. Never heard exactly what Lindell said but trying to read the court filing they are throwing EVERYTHING the man has ever uttered against the wall it seems. They make declarations that "And he knew......" and then cite things that if he believe then maybe he would know. I didn't find where they are showing any actual damages but are claiming $1.3 Billion. If they can prove their case more power to them, as I said I can't figure out how much is sincerity or con-man with this guy
I made the mistake of "trying" one of his pillows ....some time ago. They are far from as advertised. - it is not the quality I was looking for. Would not recommend it. Live and learn Seems he got hooked on Trumpism and the conspiracy nonsense he spewed....... Lies and Conspiracy T have consequences.
Don’t worry. When he loses in court you can just scream deep state and not adjust your narrative at all. Amazing how that works.
From another source Dominion files defamation lawsuit against MyPillow CEO for false claims that voting machines rigged election against Trump https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...0.vqYY5_1iJg1mibCysyAa8msesK9UdhnB6qCgSOezphI
Apparently MyCrackhead is losing a lot of money lol. https://www.yahoo.com/news/mypillow-guy-complains-loyalty-trump-191430261.html
I've seen some grassroot efforts to pump up his business by Trump supporters who feel he is doing the right thing by Trump. Doubt it would be enough to make up whatever he lost by losing big box retail placements but he doesn't need a tin cup just yet.
Good! I hope he goes down. If we can start suing for having conspiracy theories now then a whole lotta folks are gonna get a whole lotta RICH
Shop Coop Home Products, I'd mention it to the President and his cabinet and boycott www.mypillow.com.
The Dominion lawsuits say a lot more about Dominion than they do the My Pillow guy. We have nothing to fear from the My Pillow guy; but plenty to fear from the likes of Dominion, whose legal antics confirm much of what their detractors warned us about in the first place. If Texas knew enough not to use them, the rest of the states should have known as well.
Because of this or because his pillows are not what he makes them out to be and sales have dropped accordingly? I read reviews early on and they were not good and the typical mass marketing complaints about unauthorized charges and shipments. I have posted this before but when his first commerical was running every morning, the one with him in the bathroom medicine cabinet I was at a customer of mine who is a MAJOR producer of the foam for bedding and cushions and YES pillows. The maintenance superintendent picked me up up front in his golf cart and as we rode through the plant back to the machine I was there to look at we passed several of the big bins holding the scrap from trim saws and cutters. I jokingly said to him "OH so THAT'S where that pillow guy gets all his little chunks of foam he uses, I bet y'all would even pay HIM to take it all off your hands". He laughed and said "Funny this morning before shift started the mechanics in the shop were sitting around drinking their coffee and one of them wondered the same thing". It was a brilliant marketing scheme, use scrap foam to make a cheap pillow and call it the best in the world and flood cable TV with ads and sell it for top dollar.
We agree his pillows are not good. I have used one a few years ago I remember distinctly because it was before I knew who this guy was and remember throwing the pillow out after a few months. Might as well have slept on paper and popcorn.
