THUS, in reference to calculating the Death Rate, is it fair to INCLUDE both resident and non-resident Cases, and then, EXCLUDE non-resident Deaths?

Unfortunately lots of people. I won't lie when I say that the Nursing home death stats doesn't phase me as much as say if it were a Republican doing the same thing. It's really sad, I remember listening to Cuomo and thinking "this is what a good leader does. No matter my problems with him, at the very least he is leading", only to have him crash like this? Not good. Still, sometimes we need to ignore the bad because to do the opposite is to live in a hero-less world.

Though I would hesitate in calling them Cuomos. Democrats are looking to impeach one of their own, have Republicans done the same with DeSantis?

Total deaths vs. nursing home deaths is a bit of a difference. And a difference of 604 vs a difference of more than 7000.

 

Probably. But honestly I needed him, and I don't know anyone in a nursing home. It's hard for me to care about those deaths when I saw the hope and joy he brought others living under the constant threat of Covid.

 

I feel the very same way. The comparison between Cuomo press conferences and Trump's were stark and, like you, I admired the 'leadership' shown by the former. I am, now, very concerned about the motivations behind under reporting and it needs to be investigated THOROUGHLY. The #metoo accusations are also concerning and need to be investigated. I have never been a fan of forcing people to quit/resign because of accusations, so I won't criticize his refusal to do so. After investigations/court cases are completed, I will support whatever the results reveal.

 

Yet when Trump said we were going to beat this thing you all acted like he tried to castrate you with a rusty hammer.

 

Cuomo was a good leader when we needed it the most. Trump didn't lead us through this, it was Cuomo.

I believe the accusers though I doubt that it's because of them Cuomo is being impeached.

Trump fed us false hope and on national television mocked Biden for wearing masks before contracting the virus himself. Cuomo appeared on CNN with his brother and talked us through it like a family. Cuomo was serious with us, he developed plans, he talked to us every day, and he made it seem like he genuinely cared and wanted to prevent the worst from ever coming true.

 

For your info, said 604 ''unreported'' number of non-resident deaths would change Florida's death rate ranking from the lowest to the 10th lowest.

Yet Can which licked down everything is higher. 15th per capita beats 35 other states. The point is that where you are on the per capita death rate list seems to have essentially nothing to do with lock downs mask mandates or much else. It is essentially luck of the draw.

 

I certainly don't disbelieve the accusers - I just want due process before condemnation. And I feel that way no matter who the accused is.

 

Impeachment doesn't have to be about committing crimes though. It can be about moral character as well. Is the person in office of good moral character?

 

Well impeachment has evolved, certainly. Moral character was ignored for four years and a new standard has been set. As well, without the thorough investigation, we don't know about the moral character. We know there are accusations, but I certainly wouldn't want to be judged without the accusations being thoroughly investigated.
