    He did a good job with Covid (especially compared to MY governor).. but yeah... None of it excuses his behavior.

    Awwwwwww, and he was such a nice man. And the left really raved about his handling of Covid. Apparently he is quite good at handling many things.

    You mean the thousands of elderly folks he killed by putting folks in the nursing homes? That's your definition of a good job? He deserves a crimes against humanity trial.

    Yep. Whatever Cuomo's faults, at least he had the sense and decency to step down, even if he did put up a fight first.

    How did Cuomo do a good job with covid, when the New York has one of the highest covid death rates in country? Plus his nursing home decision was a disaster, and it turns out he likes to abuse power, and sexually harass women. He should have resigned months ago.

    A few did, sort of, after defending him for many years even after many of these allegations, and worse things, were publicly known. They've hardly covered themselves in glory here. They still nominated a president that has been accused of raping a staffer.

    I personally felt the nursing home cover up should have gotten him impeached sooner but either way, as long as he is done for. I expect criminal charges to come next to put the final nail in his political coffin.

    No. I meant nationally. By being the only trustworthy source of information in the worst part of the crisis. Internally within his state he made many mistakes. But I don't live in New York.

    But he did need to go.

    Good riddance. Glad that he's gone. I've been asking for his removal from office even before the harassment issue (from the time of his mismanagement of Covid-19 regarding nursing home residents). I started some three threads here asking (metaphorically) for his head on a platter.

    It's kind of interesting that blunders (and attempts to cover up) that cost the lives of thousands of human beings were not the main reason for the resignation. Not that I endorse his sexual harassment; much the opposite; when it came up, I doubled my claims for his removal.

    It's just that it's a bit disheartening that his actions killing thousands didn't seem to be that important for those asking for his impeachment. Nobody tried to start impeachment proceedings then...
