    Yep, And in NY as soon as the House approves the impeachment proceeding the Governor is suspended from office and escorted from the Mansion is what I learned from watching cable the other day.

    He would also be banned for life from holding any other office in the state if removed. This was more about preserving a chance at "redemption" than it was contrition. The guy is a hustling egomaniac.

    This is the real story and this is the real scandal and cost thousands of people's lives. The way they buried this under a barrage of women with hurt feels is beyond repugnant. Women's feelings are more important that people's lives? Really? Nice morals you have there Democrat leaders. A shining example to us all.

    I suppose you're not familiar then with how the nursing homes were run. You seem awfully excited about how well those nursing homes killed folks off though. And that's a special kind of assistance it seems you'd benefit from.

    Trump was impeached while he was still in office. It's the Senate trial that happened after he left (and there was historical precedent for that). But yes, I would be glad if they they impeached and tried Cuomo anyway in order to vacate his ability to ever hold New York public office again. Not that I think that he's got any chance at being elected for dog walker, but it would send a symbolic message. I'd like the charges to include the mismanagement of nursing home Covid patients.

    Yes, but the way to get rid of politicians is to vote them out of office or impeach them.
    Whenever the MSM work with the corrupt political class to hound an elected politician out of office the democratic process is undermined.

    That said, Cuomo's resignation should be viewed as a confession, but I suspect that the threatened prosecutions will be dropped now that their purpose has been achieved.

    No justice - no peace.

    He DID NOT do it out of any decency, he had no choice if he could he would be fighting for staying in office tooth and nail.

    Yeah he was so decent he sent his lawyer out on national TV to attack all the women who have accused him,

    Texas has slightly more reported Covid-19 deaths than New York, and I see that "state and federal officials told nursing home operators that residents must be allowed to leave and go visit family over Thanksgiving and Christmas" (COVID-19 ravaged Texas nursing homes. Here are the stories behind the numbers. | The Texas Tribune), which of course was still under Trump's regime at the time, and predictably it led to a surge of cases and deaths.
