Harris laughs at, shuts down questions as she says Afghanistan is her highest priority

After embarking on her Southeast Asia tour, Harris addressed a gaggle of reporters on the airport tarmac, cutting off a reporter who began to ask her about the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan.

"What's your response to reports of Americans—" the reporter began, speaking over the sound of jet engines.

"Hold on, hold on, hold on," Harris said, cutting off the reporter. "Slow down, everybody," Harris added, afterward letting out a big laugh.

"I want to talk about two things. First, Afghanistan— We couldn't have a higher priority right now," Harris said after finishing her laugh. "And in particular high priority is making sure that we safely evacuate American citizens, Afghans who worked with us, Afghans at risk, including women and children, and that is one of our highest if not the highest priority right now."

Because the reporter was never allowed to finish her question, it's not clear what she was going to ask Harris specifically. However, it sounded like she was going to ask Harris about the Americans trapped in Afghanistan.

This woman is unbelievable and she is next in line to be President and acts like it's some big party or get together where she can play like being an important person ISN'T THIS FUN GIRLFRIENDS!!!

VP Harris doesn’t need any handlers. She is an intelligent, highly accomplished woman who came from humble beginnings to rise to the Vice Presidency of the US. We all know how threatening that is to some people in America. Some of the vile insults that are commonly hurled at her by the anonymous trolls in the cheap seats say a lot more about their limp dickedness than they do about her. She had just returned from a long trip and was ambushed by a bunch of news buzzards. Maybe she just woke up and wasn’t in the mood to play their game at the moment.

Proved my point by calling her a whore. If it was my sister, my wife, my daughter or my friend and you said that around me, I’d have to beat your ass on the spot. But as an anonymous troll on the internet, you can do it all you like. However, as I pointed out earlier, those ie cheapshots say a lot more about you than they do about Ms. Harris. The bottom line is that anyone who is in Afghanistan now and wants to get out is a dummy for waiting so long. They should have left weeks, if not months, ago.

BTW, the US pullout of Afghanistan is typical behavior for America. It did the same thing in the South after the Civil War when it abandoned the Reconstruction effort and left the newly freed slaves to be killed and terrorized by the KKK. The country still hasn't recovered from that. So, why would you expect America to stay in Afghanistan for the next 1,357 years?

 

This is a disingenuous spin. She was obviously laughing because she couldn't answer all their questions at the same time. I don't think nitpicking is going to win over new voters but hey what do I know. It seemed to work well against Trump.

 

We may not like her, but Biden is impossible. And so is Milley.

Pres Biden himself said today that "we have a long way to go" referring to evacuations after authorizing the first wave of funding for them $500 million now but that will increase dramatically in coming weeks/months. This Administration knew this would happen, we know they knew it would happen, we know they were explicitly warned by people who knew this would happen, and yet...

There is so many reasons not to like Harris that we are bound to miss a few.

So, why didn't the wonderful Governor commute their sentences or pardon them? If you know that the guys are innocent you could become a hero by getting them released from prison.
