Looks as if even Australia's more intelligent has finally come to their senses realizing lockdowns and experimental vaccine testing is not the answer..

“Wake up sheeple,” read one sign at the Brisbane protest.

LOL, every one of their arrests puts numerous cops in contact with the people Australia wants to prevent. In turn those cops come in contact with other people and then those people come in contact with even more people, and some how this is the government's way of containing the virus. Brilliant!

I can only imagine how crazy Australia's government would be if they had their border being crashed by hundreds of thousands infected illegal alien invaders every month.

Clearly they "Australian Po-Po" don't subscribe to protest like we do BLM protest here, funny how our resident Australian glorify that here on PF and within the U.S. I found that quite illuminating.. They get their ass's beat for just leaving the house!!

    Dayuuumm!

I think it's all just coming to a head! It takes a real non motivated type to volunteer and actually enjoy locking themselves down months/years! For those live life junkies, well, I don't know how they managed to do it this long without going insane! Although, maybe insanity is the threshold and breakpoint to final adaptation and acceptance of Agoraphobia :truce:

Being locked down is only hard for extroverts.

We, introverts, enjoy the peace and solitude. We were socially distancing before it became a thing. ;-)

I try to check in on my extrovert friends because they have been going bonkers with all the restrictions. It's really hard on the kids and seniors.

Human beings do like to play 'follow the leader' without paying enough attention to where they are being led.

"Choose your leaders with wisdom and forethought. To be led by a coward is to be controlled by all that the coward fears. To be led by a fool is to be led by the opportunists who control the fool. To be led by a thief is to offer up your most precious treasures to be stolen. To be led by a liar is to ask to be told lies. To be led by a tyrant is to sell yourself and those you love into slavery." Octavia Butler, “Parable of the Talents”, p.226.

You keep posting the same LIE. The US border authorities are NOT testing people. They ONLY get tested before being placed on a flight back to where they came from.

Border Patrol not testing migrants for COVID before they're released across US
    https://www.yahoo.com/now/border-patrol-not-testing-migrants-192500361.html

This is exactly how Trump is. Just keep repeating the same lie over and over to make people think it's true.

I'm not sure where you got the information that we're not allowed to leave our houses, but you're incorrect.

With respect, it remains fascinating to me that so many Americans can't cope with toughing it out. It seems (from my perspective at least) that there's a problem with attention span, or that there's habituation to toddleresque impulse.

The desire to not be economically restricted by your government is hardly “toddleresque”. In fact I would say that the demand for government intervention in our daily lives resembles parents grounding their kids or setting limits. Americans I believe for the most part believe in an individual’s right to account for themselves rather than the government doing it for them.

It's not really an attention span issue. Unlike other cultures, Americans tend to take our freedom for granted. I've met so many people over the years that are just furious over the smallest inconveniences. It's almost like they can't see the big picture.

I got slammed on this very issue recently. Personally, I find it myopic and counterproductive but I only have control over my part and try not to stress about the rest.

It's amazing how quickly the Authoritarians can turn a whole nation into Dystopia.

I love the Aussies. I hope they fight the machine.
