I remember LA under Reagan. It was a deteriorating dump. Now look at Venice, Echo Park, Downtown LA, Silverlake, Mar Vista, Glendale, Burbank, West LA, Van Nuys, Canoga Park, North Hollywood, San Pedro, Torrence, Gardena....All great neighborhoods. The middle class has flooded into those neighborhoods which were once dumps.

I finished school a long time ago Champ. I don’t do homework. I lived here under Reagan and there were filthy diseased whores on the corner of Sunset and La Brea, rent boys all over Santa Monica Blvd. North Hollywood was a dump, so was Van Nuys. Venice used to be known as “Where the debris meets the sea”. Echo Park was a run down dump, East Hollywood and Silverlake were trashy enclaves. Downtown was a disaster. The whole city has upgraded vastly over the past 4 decades. Reagan and the Republicans also passed the first gun control legislation as soon as they found out that black people were covered under the 2nd Amendment too.

 

So you support the white privilege guy over a black guy from a middle class family earning his way to the Governorship.
