    While Trump is just a so-so classic conservative he espoused and strongly and actively supported the principles of constitutional conservatism. Most never Trump Republicans and RINOs are far more vested in the Washington political class inside the beltway fraternity which doesn't come close to constitutional conservative principles (or for that matter any principles at all.) There are tons of never Trumpers and RINOs who talk loudly about conservatism around election time and then spend 95% of their time and effort on something else. Most of the never Trumpers were scared to death that Trump might have actually been able to drain the swamp that they were charter members of and totally mess up their fraternity..

    The Lt. Gov. is a politician and wants to be reelected - he's partially in charge of Georgia elections - (and, I assume, he's a never-Trumper).

    The reality is that most of the "swamp" drained itself. What does that tell ya about swamps?

    It tells me that a shoe shine boy is a perfect pick for SoD, because: Trump.

    I don't know where you get the word hysteria, but it was not on this thread until you typed it.

    Also, I am not the one saying that Trump is like the devil. The Republican Lt. Gov. of Georgia clearly said it.

    He also clearly said that if Republicans continue to hold fast to Trump's election lies, then Republicans will lose in 2022.

    Those are his words, not mine.

    Now, if that makes YOU hysterical, your smelling-salts and pearl-clutching issues are none of my business.

    Psst, a pro-tip for you: the only person who sunk Trump's re-election in 2020 was Donald Trump itself.

    Interesting that not even one "Conservative" here on this thread has actually quoted even one sentence from Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan (R-GA)'s OP-ED in order to challenge it.

    Instead, they are bellyaching about this and that and the other.

    More likely, the Lt. Governor just wants to be reelected and admitting his election wasn't free nor fair will not get him reelected.

    EDIT: That's why the Lt. Gov. is so hyperbolic towards Trump: The Lt. Gov. wants to be reelected!

    Tariffs were one of the few ways the newly founded constitutional republic could raise any money; the word tariff is not in the constitution.
