Youngkin did not bring Trump to the election.

That said, yes all politics are cyclical, and you pointed out a perfect example.

This is the mentality which is causing the Democrats / left to lose ground. I hope they double down on that type of nonsense.

If a republican wins a gubernatorial election in a blue state, that is an upset. But, of course, you can call it whatever you like. It is still a free country and apparently getting more free.

    It won't matter.

Obviously, the VA result has massive ramifications for the '22 Midterms.

    As far as '24?

That is a long way off, and we don't even know who the Pres. Candidates will be.

I seriously hope this manifests nationally, but here on the left coast we are basically SOL. For I am in the land of the woke fascists morons.

And If I may offer a small suggestion Demwokerats.

Most Democrats would say they are going to vote for Biden. Why do you think differently? No confidence in Biden to run again?

IF Biden Runs, I am sure that most Dems would support him.

Obviously, at that age, an unexpected health issue can show up at any time.

And now that Youngkin is the new governor we'll see how closely he emulates Trump's policies. Trump could very well be the next the president and Youngkin might be very well aware of that.

Are you worried about Biden's health? We're only talking 2 years from now. Maybe Democrats shouldn't have pushed an old man into running for president?

    Who Cares?

    BIDEN WON!

    That is All that Matters.

Way too early to worry about '24.

IF, for some reason, Biden didn't run--The Dems really need to find someone other than Harris.

If Biden can't get his big agenda passed it won't matter that he won. And he might be hurting blue states that are going with red governors.

True, but Democrats brought Trump for him and the other Republican candidates, as well.

There's another political truism that Dems failed to recognize and that's all politics are local. McAuliffe, VA Dems and their out-of-state supporters made the mistake of trying to make the election national, which inadvertently dragged a very unpopular Joe Biden into the race, while Youngkin focused on local issues, primarily Virginia's economy, taxes, schools and public safety.

An absolutely deserved loss for the democrats.

They offer nothing to anyone but insults, fallacies and marxism.

    Good one.

We're not as blue as the left coast states but Virginiafornia was getting bluer by the year until yesterday happened. I do think what happened here in Virginia will happen elsewhere and as I pointed out to rob the last time we elected a Republican governor was the year before the 2010 GOP landslide. If you look at how things were in 2009 they are striking similar to how they are in 2021.

That leaves the question of whether or not the Dems are willing and able to turn the Titanic around, but there's no sign that the Neo-Marxist "progressives" who are dictating the party's agenda are about to let that happen.

    So what?

    1) Trump HAD To Go...
    2) Biden was on the Other Side of a Binary Choice...
    3) Biden Won!

That is an irksome comparison, Joe. I know you meant well, but the better analogy could have been "Hitler in the Berlin bunker". Fortunately, it didn't come to that.

Oh no, they are doubling down on their obscene spending package. Pelosi has dragged herself out today to make that statement. They are actually saying...that...is...why...they...lost. They live in denial because the msm let's them get away with it. That's ok, they can all lose together.
