Rep. Gosar is censured over an anime video showing him killing AOC

This can't be the right link, Glitch. I went through this minute-and-a-half video and saw maybe one-half second of a frame with Pelosi in it, and maybe one-half second of a frame with what I think might have been AOC in it (with face pointing upward?). I didn't see any violence, honestly. Nobody was being 'killed' with swords, or anything like that....

Nearly all of it was what looked like waves of illegal aliens trying to barge into our southern border, and, U. S. Border Patrol agents assembling and then trying to stop them.

Again, this CAN'T be what everybody is raising hell about, because the video I saw at the link you provided was the biggest bunch of NOTHING I've looked for a long time, accompanied by some kind of half-assed 'Latin American' rap-music, and I went through it frame-by-frame.

* Afterthought: they let creeps like Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler lead the charge to impeach Donald Trump over charges that have turned out to be pure, out-and-out "Russia, Russia, Russia" BULLSHIT, but the same bunch of radical Democrats castigate Gosar because his image is on this idiotic video...?! Boy! propaganda has sure fallen way far-down from the expertise of someone like Leni Riefenstahl.... *

Yeah perhaps it was edited or something cuz I never saw him do anything to OC. At one point he does fly through the air in the direction of a big Biden head. I suppose that qualifies as "attacking Biden." I found the video a muddled mess but in no way offensive. Perhaps that's why it is so hard to find this video. They want the talking heads to create sensationalism about their false depiction of the video as opposed to opinions based upon reality.

 

Oh, he was allowed to. But there are consequences in posting a cartoon depicting the murder of other members.

 

Gosar is a real 'piece of work'. A nutcase elected as a political rep. The GOP should have done the right thing but their remaining base will not let them. Radicalization in full display.

 

OK, well, thanks for posting the link, but I must say that if this really and truly is all there was to this, and it caused ALL THIS BUG-EYED FUROR, then I'll have to come up with a more expanded, detailed word to describe the unbelievable manipulation and deception that has grown out of a minute-and-a-half video clip that any grade-school child could have cut and pasted together in about fifteen minutes.

Honestly, if the video clip I saw at that link was 'the real deal', then my opinion of what passes for a thought-process among radical Democrats has plummeted even below what it was -- and even now, that's hard to comprehend....

You make no sense. No one is controlling her speech. The Republicans have a right to associate with who they want. If she and them aren't a good fit, who are you or me to demand they associate, and what does that have to do with speech?

Also, it's her vote that illicited this disassociation, not her speech. It's kind of important that your votes align with your party and your voters whom you are supposed to be representing.

 

OK, do YOU have a link to a video which shows this?! If you do, PLEASE post it, because the link we saw from fellow-poster, Glitch, did not show anybody involved in the "murder" of ANYBODY!

The actual video that has caused all this uproar has got to be online somewhere! Surely most people aren't so catastrophically STOOPID that they believe the video at https://tv.gab.com/channel/national...ul-gosars-meme-video-6193f1af8bb1b320eabeca29 is all there is to this whole thing! If it really is, then we're in even deeper sh*t as a nation than I thought we could ever be....

 

Umm, it was described as a modified anime VIDEO. That's a screen shot. Do you suppose that Gosar was censured for a screen shot? Tell me that you're not that disingenuous. It's likely been washed from the internet, and NOBODY in the House is making the claim that he was censured for a screen shot.

Actually that's a 1:30 video. Check your browser again. It purports to be the controversial vid but there's no violence against OC in it, so perhaps an edited version. It would be nice to see the real deal before drawing any conclusions. It does contain the harrowing "attack" on Biden - a complete nothing. Amazing that our censor overlords can purge the Internet so thoroughly so that they can tell us how we should feel about it.

 

OK, then, to repeat my original request -- DOES ANYBODY HAVE A LINK TO WHATEVER THE HELL IT WAS THAT THEY THREW GOSAR OUT FOR?!

I took me a few days to realize I had Gosar confused with Gohmert ... I had a good, long chuckle moment and then realized that getting old can be humorous at times ...

I need to get off may ass and prep my tomato vines for the spring ... I need to do better than 20 Mason's of crushed tomatoes next year ...

I watched that also, and it was hard to catch the parts that were "offensive", but I think what Gosar put out there (or forwarded) were still images of the two offensive parts. Not sure, but I think that's what he posted, not necessarily the video.
It does seem kind of lame, but the stills would be a little more graphic as they would catch the image in it's state at the time and the viewer can examine it better.
Here's my lame effort to catch the image, first try, but I think you get the picture! (see what I did there?)
Bottom line, our representatives are elected to work together to make decisions for the country. If we allow them to be overly hostile to each other, the foundations of our country begin to erode. Not sure if the punishment fits the crime, but it definitely isn't a good idea for our reps to do things like this.

 

Freedom is not absolute.

IF you want absolute freedom, go buy an island, succeed, and anoint yourself king, and viola, 'freedom'!

 

Neither have suggested violence on other congresspersons.

That is the issue before Congress.

The issue before congress is a congressperson suggesting violence against another congressperson.

If you have an example of a democrat congressperson doing this against another congressperson, feel free to prove it.

Why? because THAT is what is front and center before congress, nothing more, nothing less.

 

If you can find another democrat congressperson committing the same act as Gosar, suggesting violence against another legislator or person in the executive branch, please provide the evidence, otherwise your point is moot.

 

I watched it, so don't make assumptions.
