He loves America and defended it, thats what makes him a patriot, him killing a couple of commies one being a child rapist and the other a wife beater is just the icing on the cake..

I think you might be onto something here with why so many are upset with a clear case of self defense. Kyle ruined the dream of a commie take over.

Yes, I have lived here since the 1990s and have not once seen anyone carry openly because it is illegal. I am also a shooter, gun owner and a concealed license holder, so I know what the law says about it.

If you need more information you can find it here

Florida Open Carry: Laws, Requirements, Application & Online Training
    https://gunlawsuits.org/gun-laws/florida/open-carry/

Open carry of firearms in Florida is illegal in public places, and you cannot open carry your gun even if you have a permit, except if you are a law officer or a member of the military.

We are not talking about hunting or shooting ranges where it is beyond obvious open carry laws do not apply. Open carry refers to being able to carry openly in public places. The people in Kenosha were not hunting, but WI has open carry law, which means you can carry everywhere (except in certain places like near schools etc).

Kyle and the people with him were enforcing vigilante justice, but as you say it is not automatically a bad thing, or a crime. Even neighborhood watch is a form of vigilante justice. Kyle did have a self defense claim, so in the end it was up to the defense to make sure the jury saw it that way, and they did. A baby faced boy sobbing on the stand was the icing on the cake for them. The jury saw him as a terrified child who had no other options.

It's telling how a certain type tugs its contemplative beard and puzzles over the rightness of numberless throngs of violent, destructive rioters, as if there were a gem therein. But let one idealistic teen run contrary to the matter, and they pour out condemnation upon him. And when he is vindicated by justice and jury, and we applaud his exoneration, those same beard tuggers pour more of their condemnation in reserve upon us, but give chaos a free pass still. They are truly void of judgment. To them, justice is a dearth, and dearth is justice. They have become like the God of plagues, animus to civility, peace and tranquility, because they have nothing good to give. They find and see great fault where it is not, and close their eyes to the massive fault that is, because there is no goodness in them. They stir envy, jealousy, covetousness and wrath as if it were their superpower. But they have only tapped into wickedness and found vindication therein. Unsurprisingly, there is not even holiness to those who lend it no regard.

The 1000 ft rule is a federal law and its not only about rifles, but all loaded guns The exception is that you can carry concealed, but only in the State which issued the license. You can, however, have one in you car, at least here in Florida. Otherwise it would be nearly impossible to drive a car and not violate the laws.

Yes and there are other designated places where the 1000ft rule applies

And they can blame that on their family members who made the decision to put themselves in harms way. They could have walked the other way. Anyone who chose to join in the rioting went there looking for trouble.

Yes + local laws, some of which can be old and strange. For example in Florida you can conceal carry to a restaurant, but only if you sit at the dining area and not in the bar. If you sit at the bar, you are breaking the law even if you are only waiting for a table. You cannot carry in an establishment which main purpose is to serve alcohol.

    Oh, ok. he-he-he.

I stand by what I said, because it is factually correct, and I also provided links and and pointed out shooting ranges and hunting are obvious exceptions.

Open carry in public place in Florida (for civilians) is strictly prohibited. You can carry openly on the streets in Wisconsin (blue State) and you CANNOT do that in Florida (red State), which renders the "marxist" as BS, unless you want to argue Florida is marxist, and WI is not.

No clue why you try to make it sound like it is legal, but making such misleading claims is consistent with other false claims you have made.
I didn't have to look it up, but I provided a link to prove my point, and I recommend you educate yourself by reading and quit arguing for the sake of arguing.

You need to actually go back and read your own link like I just tried to do.

After it states that you must have valid reasons for open carry in the State of Florida which are limited to certain activities, I'm guessing you didn't read that part ....( Those will be the activities I mentioned by the way )....

Your link then takes you to a pop-up which you cannot get out of where they try to surprise surprise sell you a concealed carry permit.

Like I said I cannot cut and paste it but if you're actually interested in learning the actual laws you would go and look directly at the Florida statutes themselves and not some website that has a vested interest in selling you a permit
    .

But I really don't care if you choose to believe in ignorance.... Only you can choose to go and actually see what the law really says so I don't really care carry on and believe as you will

Are you blind? Drunk? I specifically said:

    1. You cannot openly carry in public places. THAT IS THE POINT
    2. Shooting ranges and hunting are obvious exceptions, THAT IS BESIDES THE POINT

"Open Carry" is in reference to public places.

You argue that open carry is legal in Florida as an effort to sell Florida as an open carry State, when it is not. Your argument is dishonest. Why even try?

So, is Florida a marxist State compared to Wisconsin because WI allows open carry in public places.

Red = Not permissive. It turns out Florida is one of the few "marxist" States in the nation. Heck, even California is more permissive than Florida. Other than that, I like FL gun laws.

So now you resort to Petty personal insults? A typical leftist.

The one who is being dishonest and misrepresenting here is you Mr projectionist.

I did not say Florida is just a specifically open carry state stop telling lies about what I have said.

I specifically stated it is legal under certain circumstances. And those circumstances are spelled out in the Florida statutes.

Like I said they include coming to or from camping hunting hiking or fishing.

At no point did I say that open carry in the State of Florida was simply outright legal.

Is reading a specific challenge for you, or is it honesty?

I tell you this. I can turn my phone into a hotspot and get my laptop out and look up the Florida statute for you if you'd like .

But I'm not doing it for free I'm not wasting my time with your foolishness. Would you care to place a wager of sorts?

If I'm correct you will wear the Avatar of my choosing for one week and vice versa so put your money where your mouth is

Reading this I have to wonder if a grand jury ever saw this case. I'm not familiar with Wisconsin state law but if I was sitting on a grand jury and this case was brought before me I would have never voted to send it to a petit jury.

You do make a valid point, Jack, no doubt of that. You never know for sure what a jury will do -- especially when a 'celebrity' is involved in a controversial case where the preponderance of evidence is circumstantial. Also, nobody actually saw OJ do anything, but in 2021, quite a lot of video evidence exists to support Rittenhouse in saying that he was not guilty, and that would surely weigh as heavily on some future jury in a civil trial as it did in the now-concluded criminal trial.

I'm not a lawyer, but because there is so much palpable, tangible evidence that supported Rittenhouse in saying that he was totally 'not-guilty' of doing anything wrong, I think it would be much harder to go after him in a civil case.

Not a leftist. I called out your BS and you can take is as an insult if you want.

And I specifically stated the same about target shooting and hunting etc related activities. I have said three times now, but here you are arguing for it and against it at the same time. Its called "arguing for the sake of arguing". Its also called "childishness"

Florida is considered as "Non Permissive Open Carry State." The argument earlier in this thread was that its "marxist". Do you agree with that? Most blue States are more permissive, hence they are not "marxist"

    Sure.

My claim, which is based on Florida law, is that civilians cannot carry openly in public places. Target shooting, hunting etc related activities are exceptions (how can you hunt unless you take your gun out?).

And you claim is that I am wrong. Prove it or wear a rainbow shirt saying "I LOVE MEN" for one week.

Look at the way this Clown of a Prosecutor is holding this AR-15, doesn't a clue of what he's doing. Must have gone to the Alec Baldwin school of Firearm safety.
I could see this a Mile away that Kyle Rittenhouse was going to be found Not Guilty when you have inept idiots like this trying to Prosecute him.

The issue of "open carry" varies widely from one state to another. Here in Colorado, for instance, you can "open carry" in most places, except where it is "generally prohibited" (like in the hyperliberal-Leftist City of Denver): https://www.shouselaw.com/co/defense/gun-laws/open-carry/ . You can't win this battle, mod-pal. I'm a former cop and I studied to be a paralegal. "Innocent until proven guilty" is NOT how that actually works in practice. It's just a fun thing for people to say like when some say "We're all equal in the US." That's not true either.

With that said (again for the 3rd time), "INNOCENT" does not equal "NOT GUILTY". Full stop.

Trump says that he won the election in 2020. He repeats it constantly. That doesn't make it true.

You can say that as much as you want, post the same response, believe in unicorns and fairies. It's still not true no matter how many times you click your heels.

IMHO Kyle was not guilty of killing, because most people in his situation would behave the same, but someone was guilty for allowing 17 year old kid to walk with AR15 in this tense area. And Kyle was lucky he is white, otherwise who knows how it would end:
