Who do I listen to? My doctor or the government and employer who want to force me to take the vaccine against my doctors orders?

Don't take any vaccine, the covid is a Democrats hoax and vaccine changes DNA, I read about it on Qanon site.
Listen to a medical genius - expose yourself to the UV light and take disinfectant injections.

BTW, my wife thinks you should change the doctor.

Why would I need the covid vaccine if I already have antibodies? Does it give me better or more antibodies if I do so?

I mean I contracted covid 8 months ago and got tested for antibodies at my doc last week and he said I had more antibodies than I had 2 months after having the virus and I have significantly more antibodies than he sees in people who have taken the shot and got the booster.

What benefit does the vaccine do for me?

I posted the answer without reading the title, didn't realize you had covid, sorry about it.
    Here is what I know:
A friend of my also had covid, but his doctor recommended vaccine. My doctor had covid and took vaccine.
Personally, I follow the decision of the majority of medical establishment.

To try and keep things on an even keel I like to remember that half the professionals of the world graduated in the bottom half of their class. You're capable of getting other opinions.

I never caught the crud (but I did get a summer cold in May), but my doctor says my immune system is strong.

The shots have no health benefit. They are experimental drugs that are dangerous to all and fatal to many. The pharmaceutical literature will not admit that, but so it goes with promotional advertising literature.

Well, there ARE idiot doctors and yes you MAY have natural immunity but then again you may not and we are still unsure how long natural immunity lasts. But you CAN get your doctor to write you a note - just like your Mommy did for you when you were at school, asking for you to be excused on account of already having had Covid

Getting vaccinated could well increase your level of protection even further but you may well be well protected already.

This isn't just about you though. It isn't viable to give everyone antibody level testing to determine whether they "need" a vaccine or not and there are questions over what kind of result from those tests would be deemed sufficient protection anyway so it would be very difficult to establish a general policy to take this in to account.

How do you know that to be true if the 'pharmaceutical literature will not admit that'?

That is a exact description of totalitarian regime.

I suggest that you listen to your doctor (as he sounds rather intelligent) and to give the middle finger to the government and employer.

There is absolutely NO reason for anyone with natural immunity to COVID to receive a COVID vaccine. NONE.

Lol so I should just take an experimental drug which has unknown long term consequences because it MIGHT help me and it makes you all feel better?

    Are you serious right now?

The CDC study they’re referring to has a grand total of 120 people who contracted covid twice in it. It’s nowhere near a sufficient amount. Not to mention is directly contradictory to essentially every other study out there that’s not done by our government.

There's no reason for him to take a vaccine for a disease that he has already acquired natural immunity to.

The FEAR MONGERING about COVID is a Democrat hoax.

The jab (in and of itself) doesn't change DNA.

    I highly doubt that.

Sunlight DOES help boost one's Vitamin D levels.

No one has suggested this. Please provide proof that anyone has suggested this.

I would not listen to your wife on this matter.

Good question. The answer is that you don't. You already have immunity.

Nope. In fact, it will mess with the current immunity that you have.

Bingo. That's natural immunity for ya, which is better than jab induced immunity. You're all good to go!

Absolutely ZERO... it only has various downfalls for you, such as ruining your natural immunity and developing numerous side effects (such as myocarditis).

That's okay... We all miss some details from time to time.

I would say that his doctor is an idiot (or is fearful of losing his license for not touting the government viewpoint).

    Same applies for your doctor.

So you don't think for yourself? You think that "the majority" must be correct? If "the majority of math professors" told you that 2+2=5, would you follow their decision? If "the majority of biology professors" told you that a man can be pregnant, would you follow their decision?

There are A LOT of idiot doctors... Thankfully, his doctor seems to NOT be one of them...

No no no... not "MAY have..." ... He DEFINITELY has natural immunity. Acquiring natural immunity after an infection is basic immunology.

WRONG. He definitely has natural immunity. Why are you denying basic immunology?

It lasts a lifetime. Again, basic immunology.

Yes, he can. The government/employer may not recognize it though.

To act as if concepts are laughable means that you want to be irrational.

He can do so, but the government/employer may not recognize it.

No, it can't. It can only damage the natural immunity that he has developed.

No, not "may well be..." ... He IS well protected already. This is basic immunology.

Oh no... here comes the Marxist drivel...

It isn't viable to test everybody for COVID to "slow the spread" either...

Such testing for antibody levels isn't necessary, as one acquires natural immunity after infection. That's how natural immunity works. That's basic imunology.

Antibodies are only one very small part of the whole adaptive immune system, let alone the existence of the whole innate immune system. I would suggest learning some quick basics about the entirety of the immune system and how it works (and how it can be compared to a castle defense system to provide a visual). Antibodies are way within the inner castle walls; there are A LOT of defenses that a virus has to get through before antibodies even get involved.

There's no need for it. NONE. If someone has been infected, then they have natural immunity to what infected them.

I assume she's looking at information that is outside of the pharmaceutical literature, as they aren't going to admit their own issues.

No, I quite intentionally didn't say anything about what you should do, I just provided some basic facts and context around the wider issue to help inform your personal decisions.

My doctor said I should get it even though I likely had Covid.

It is not "my doctor" vs "the government".

Read what the medical community has to say about it and then decide. Also, based on the thread title, you say your doctors simply said you dont need it, and later you changed it to say your doctor ordered you to not take it.

If you dont want it, tell your employer your doctor said you dont need it. Problem solved.

If that is what your doctor said, its probably time to get a new doctor. The shot and booster does not show up in antibody tests. Also, the antibody count does not increase over time, it declines.

Real doctors understand which antibody tests to administer to differentiate between antibodies from vaccination or natural infection.

Antibodies DO increase in many individuals. Isn’t real science fun? Let me guess, you are getting your information from your doctor again that thinks natural immunity only lasts 6 months? LOL
