Americans tend to like people everywhere, and South Koreans and Iraqis certainly like our money, but they do not like America or Americans.

    Feel the love:

"South Korean pop sensation PSY, aka Park Jae-sang, might have won over Americans with his infectious breakthrough single, “Gangnam Style,” but has America won him over? The singer will be forced to face those kinds of questions as several anti-American protest performances from his past have begun to surface."

“Then, two years later, a South Korean missionary was executed in Iraq — a revenge killing for the country’s support of the U.S. war in Iraq. During a protest concert, PSY rapped on the song “Dear American,” “Kill those f—ing Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives/Kill those f—ing Yankees who ordered them to torture/Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers/Kill them all slowly and painfully.”
HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, ‘Kill Those F—ing Yankees’: PSY’s Anti-U.S. Past Surfaces,” Kill them all slowly and painfully," the artist rapped at a 2004 anti-U.S. protest concert., BY SETH ABRAMOVITCH, 12/7/12.

I love how you try to get by with anecdotes, deflections, and wrap it up with dumb comments (see above).

Canadians do better in math and science, too.

    The ugly truth...

British Columbia covid deaths ... 2,449 (population 5,214,805)
    Texas covid deaths ... 76,949 (population 29,527,941)

If Texas had the same death rate as BC, it would have lost 13,867, not 76,949.

BC schools? Open today, all this school year and last.

63,082 dead Texans ... thanks to the policies of ...

    ... and the Republican legislature.

Your schools suck. Your governor sucks. Your covid policies suck. Your climate sucks. Your state...

IMO, a victory is achieved in war when an enemy is defeated, neutralized and is no longer threat to peace.
WWII ended in a victory over Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan.

MacArthur insisted that there was no substitute for victory. But what did he know about war? ;-)

Nothing from my posts supports "total destruction".
Victory was achieved in WW II without the total destruction of Germany, Japan and Italy.

Thank you. You take serious questions and reduce them to the silliness of pop music... LOLOL.... Kids look to pop music for answers. Adults seek out more reliable sources. LOL... I'm really laughing at this. Can you imagine a foreign nation figuring out its true relationship with America by analyzing the words of some crazy rapper? LOLOL... its hilarious. And killing Christians is what muslims do... from the Crusades to today. It hardly is indicative of what the status of nations is or isn't.

Republicans need to get behind school vouchers large enough to allow even the poorest patents to afford a decent private school. We had a $3000 voucher proposal in California and it failed miserably because most parents knew the voucher was worthless to them.

Canadians do better in math and science? When did you get to the moon last. When did you last launch an IMPROVED version of the Hubble telescope? When did Canada invent a vaccine to fight COVID? When did Canada build an aircraft to compete with Boeing? When did Canada last invent something world shaking like the telephone or the airplane? (all invented in the USA). Canada is great at TRYING... not much with the DOING. Wait? "our climate" sucks? LOLOL... Summer last year in Canada was on a Thursday...

You are deflecting. Americans are not popular in S. Korea. Their popular culture reflects that fact.

But, it isn’t worthless. It can be enough, for instance, to allow low income single mothers to get her children into a religious school when added to what she already has. Sometimes all people need is a little help.

I agree. About $20K/child would represent real substantive change.
Any politician that can credibly propose that kind of reform will draw the attention of voters across the spectrum.

Yes, I agree. Republicans do prefer parents to be in charge of the education of their kids and Dems want the government to control it all. The recent elections in Virginia were all about this. That's why the Repubs won.

You can find someone to oppose or support anyone or anything almost anywhere. Heck, I can find a heterosexual in San Francisco. That doesn't mean it has anything to do with the norm there.

It also stopped him from invading Saudi Arabia and seizing their oil.

Saving Saudi Arabia allowed us to keep having affordable gas for our cars.

That is incorrect. The objective was to protect South Korea from being destroyed.

That is completely untrue. They are our friends.

Antiwar kooks are found in every country, even in the US.

It is not fair to countries to judge them based on their antiwar kooks.

In that case none of your list of alleged defeats of the US are really defeats. We have never been neutralized and are still a threat to the peace.

Only if you define rout in a way that does not include military defeat.

Hardly. We crushed the Taliban. They were only able to come back after we went home.

It also contradicts your own definition of victory. The US is far from defeated or neutralized.

One side surrendered and was partially occupied. That fits my definition of victory.

South Korea's continued existence is a victory in my book.

Victory for America as well. It paved the way for the destruction of al-Qa'ida.

Victory for America as well. We got justice for Pan Am 103.

Not the way you defined victory a few paragraphs above. The US was not defeated or neutralized. And 20 years later, the USSR was.

People who claim the U.S. hasn't "won a war" since 1945 use horrendous, impossible to achieve standards to measure a "U.S. victory".

Expecting the people of other nations to love the United States and become long term allies of the U.S. post defeat is completely unrealistic. Nor is is realistic to expect victory in war to reap massive rewards for the United States. That isn't how war and peace works.

Can you read a graph? (And it created a vaccine.)

I was born and raised in Southern California. I added Canadian citizenship.
    Airbus A220.
You better check on Alexander Graham Bell. You could also look up Frederick Banting.
Way too hot in Texas. Vancouver is like Seattle. Long, beautiful summers.

That’s true for some, but there are many parents who just need a little extra to make things work. And these parents are motivated to do it.
