Somehow not surprising. Has the economy not worked fairly for everybody? Will she be canceled over referring to 'Negro people':

The economy is not a person that can have racist feelings. What may not be fair for black Americans may be white Americans but certainly not the economy. She should stick to economics and avoid sociology like the plague.

Economic policies can and have been unfair. When somebody talks about the economy they're talking about the economic system as a whole which includes policies. Banks having different rules for lending money for different race was and in some case are still a problem.

It is illegal for banks to have different rules for different races. Better go find a lawyer that wants to prosecute such a crime.

If you do not get the free education afforded you, if you engage in criminal activity, if you have children out of wedlock at an early age, if you abuse drugs and alcohol, if you refuse to seek employment and work to improve the value of your labor..........................do you have a right to claim the economy does not work fairly for you?

There is a difference between MLK Jr.'s day and today.

It's been a long, slow road.

And, NOBODY should think that it is over. Because it absolutely is not.

It's illegal to be OVERT about having different rules for different races, but in practice that isn't so.

Why when you have failed to take advantage of all the opportunities this country and economy offer and in fact engage in acts that can prevent you from doing so? How can you claim it is unfair?

Should private banks be forced to loan money on properties that are likely to lose value, ie every property is ranked the same regardless of where it is located. Should banks have to treat all borrows equally regardless of credit score and payment histories?

Whites with worst credit scores and payment history have better chance at getting a loan as a minority living in a "colored" neighborhood even with a better credit score and payment history.

Because what you do doesn't negate what others do.

Yes the value, both present and future value of the property is also a KEY consideration in loaning money.

But it can negate any "fairness" in the economy.

Of course it can and a person has no claim to whine about fairness when they refuse to do the things to make yourself successful and in fact do things the prevent you from doing so.

Why should you expect it to be fair when you don't do the things to make it fair and do things to ensure it is not fair?

Fairness has nothing to do with your own actions.

The idea we target wealth divide based on race is asinine. This ideology will lead to racist laws against whites. How long has affirmative action existed and has it increased that wealth gap or decreased it?

    Why?

Many analysts point to the fact that discrimination is beneficial for those on top.

Thus, moves toward equality seem like a surrender of that upper hand.

I'm pretty sure the U.S. economy has worked out quite well for hundreds of thousands of black athletes, actors, entertainers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, scientists, etc....
