Ruble down 30% -- Trump calls Putin very smart and savvy

Let's look at some of the economic havoc that Vlad is wreaking on his own population:

-Ruble down 30%
-Stock market down 40%
-Interest rates jumped to 20%
-Long lines at ATM machines because people worry about collapse of banks

Yet, Trump calls Putin very smart and savvy.

Now, if this is smart and savvy, I don't know what really dumb must be in Trump world.

Looks like the economic sanctions are working. I feel bad for the Russian people, but, we have to wait this out and hope that Putin will swallow his pride and see the light. There will already be talks between Russia and Ukraine today. Maybe, the invasion wasn't as easy as Putin thought it would be. Actually, invasions never are easy. Somehow, I don't know why invaders never learn from history.

Now, for the American right wing, they have to make a choice if they want to be with the "smart, savvy" invaders, or do they want to be on the side of a fledgling democracy with a popular elected president, who seems to be brave to defend his country? Or, put in another way: Do you want to be on the side of Trump and Tucker, or do you want to be on the side of reasonable people?

 

I mean he is the self proclaimed king of debt (and bankruptcy)

It is strange to see the party of “fiscal responsibility” blindly support him

Why is it an "or". I fully support the Urkrainian people and hope they kick the Russians ass.

Ukraine is badly outnumbered and outgunned, but they know what they're fighting for. Zelensky and his people are proving to be pretty bad-ass, IMO. I love the Ukrainian soldiers who were on that little island in the Black Sea when a Rusdian warship arrived and told them to surrender and lay down their weapons. Their response: "Russian ship: go f..k yourselves."

But, Putin is smart --- riiiight.

 

Ruble is worth less than 1 cent in US currency and international oil companies like Shell and BP are pulling out of Russia, and Exxon and TotalEnergies (France) are likely to do the same.

 

I have talked to people (not on this forum) who think the deep state is involved in crooked dealings in Ukraine. One example they gave is them helping Hillary in 2016, and another is hunter Biden.

anyhow, they believe that Russia is going in there to fight against this deep state they believe is imbedded into that country that is tied to our own country. It’s absolutely amazing to me. It’s insulting in a way too. So absurd!

The question for the left wing is this, are you going to virtue signal on anonymous bulletin boards or are you and your family going over to Ukraine to fight for the cause which holds so much significance for you?

Ukraine has waived all visa requirements for freedom fighters such as yourself and your family. If you are looking for finances to pay for the plane ticket, I am sure conservatives would rally around paying for the plane tickets of as many progressive as want to go. Here is a chance for the left to finally show their patriotism in a meaningful way, I hope they act upon this golden opportunity.

I suspect the limit of their patriotism will be free Ukraine stickers and TikTok videos. That really doesn't help the Ukrainians much does it?

Hilariously Coach Red Pill, (a white nationalist who moved to the Ukraine years ago to get away from the diversity of America) is doing coverage from Kiev. He is in a luxury resort in Kiev which appears to be deserted. I don't think the dude has a sense of self-preservation at all. You should check some of his videos out to see what it is like in Kiev right now.

It's actually worse than what you are describing, Trump didn't just say Putin is smart and savvy, but more specifically he said that Putin's Ukraine strategy is smart and savvy. In fact, he described it as "genius"
