Moscow on fire!...Russian warship "Moskva" hit by 2 Neptune missiles.

Nobody's "celebrating" the loss of life. Taking out a Russian middle ship will SAVE lives and it's a big blow to their military and military capabilities. It's this kind of achievement that will help end the war.

 

Wow, that level of misinformation explains alot about your positions. That level of ignorance just doesn't stand a chance at redemtion...But we must try to apply a solution for people whom have bought so much into propiganda that writing them off as a lost cause isn't an option.

Russia is going through the same thing, so fixing someone as lost as you could lead to a solution in solving Russias problem as well. The question is where and how do we start.

I don't believe in book burning, or canceling what ever source it is you get your false information from, as that would be the easy intellectually lazy option. But giving up on an entire nation like Russia isn't an option either. Sometimes the source of the propiganda just has to be called out and put on display, so your peers can adjust your views is the best option in opinion.

 

And if they do Russia will acquire a few more mass graves...

My favorite part is how the Russians think claiming a mysterious fire broke out and scuttled the ship is BETTER than the Ukrainians lobbing a pair of 1st world level missiles at it.

 

They are embarrassed by the fact that Ukrainians are kicking their asses.

Now Sweden and Finland are fast tracking NATO memberships, and Russia can do nothing about it with their military fully engaged in a losing war in Ukraine.

Also, The Ukrainians carried out a helicopter assault against a town named Klimovon, which is in Russia.

BTW, the ship in question is the same one which the Ukrainian border guards told to go F**K themselves in the beginning of the war.

 

The Russians have outright threatened the Fins and that **** is just absolutely foolish. The SOVIET's couldn't take the Fins, no way the post soviet cyka blyats that are the Russian Federation can do what their ancestors, who were MUCH harder more numerous and possessed of a greater military advantage then they can muster now even if they were just as incompetent, couldn't.

 

The threats accomplished the exact opposite they hoped for. It got Finland to officially declare that they are joining NATO.

Finnish PM (pictured below) traveled to Sweden yesterday to tell them to expediate the process too

 

They committed for certain?

 

Not 100% committed, since there are still going to be talks about it, but it seems pretty certain.

Finland and fellow Nordic state and neighbour Sweden are close partners with NATO but have shied away from joining the 30-member alliance, founded in 1949 to counter the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

"We have to be prepared for all kinds of actions from Russia," Marin told reporters at a joint news conference in Stockholm with her Swedish counterpart.

She said the option to join NATO had to be carefully analysed but that everything had changed when Russian forces invaded Ukraine in late February.

 

For what its worth, the Moskva was one of the best ships in the Russian fleet. Formerly the lead ship of the Slava class missile cruisers. It was the flagship of the Russian Black Sea fleet, probably one of the best maintained Russian ships and one of the heaviest armed in the world. A serious threat to U.S. carriers if it got close enough.

Its loss whether from Ukrainian missiles or to an onboard explosion is a major blow to the Russians

Where was the anti missile mechanisms on this tub?....I saw a 40 second clip of this ship getting hit....seemed no attempt was made at intercepting?....just saying.

Judging by the blast....there surely had to been casualties?

From what I hear at the moment it's capsized...(turned turtle)....and that Turkey rescued "around 50" sailors....no word on the others?

 

Most of the anti missile systems are mounted aft of the superstructure IIRC.

Hey man, not everyone wants to watch from the closet as their friends and neighbors are dragged away etc. You made some very sweeping statements about it being impossible to oppose a military, and those things are simply put demonstrably false. You don't like that, but no one cares.

The last 5 weeks have exposed the Russian military as a toothless paper tiger. Low morale, poor equipment, inept operation of machinery, drones with 20 year old technology... The list goes on. I don't think Putin is doing himself ANY favors in terms of feeding his ego. I wonder when the Russians will get tired of him.
