White people and Republicans don't understand why Black people hate police and firefighters

Bingo. I always find it odd how people who purport to fight racism can have such racist mindsets. Amazingly they seem to think that the way to end racial prejudice and abuse is to demand that we all be categorized foremost by race and that race is important.

 

Blacks needed cops and firemen during the 2020 summer black riots. Blacks were looting and burning down Black hoods.

 

Do policemen and firemen simply get tired of having to deal with the black problem?

 

I lived in a majority black town for more than 30 years, and worshipped in a majority black church there. We moved there to be close to my wife's folks and we raised our two kids there. It was a wonderful place to raise a family.

 

No, maybe if you'd listen and stop being blind to issues of race, then you would realize what Black people are talking about.

 

Tell us what blacks are talking about concerning race. Bring specifics.

I'm especially curious how they elect their spokespeople who speak for every person who happens to be black.

 

Defund the police means to stop having the police buy armored cars and machine guns and spend the money on police salaries. The same as the military should stop buying the latest jets that are too dangerous to fly while our soldiers are collecting food stamps

Public budgets are too often a way to set up a conduit transferring money from the taxpayers to a cadre of con men who specialise in mulcting the government with overpriced and shoddy goods because the general public wised up to them years ago.

 

Nothing can get one attention better than flashing the "race card". It's becoming very wrinkled and hard to deal anymore.

White people don't know what it is like to be black, so you can't know. What you can do is LISTEN. That is what white allies try to do, they LISTEN, that's why people like Stone are popular with Blacks. Because he at least LISTENS.

I do think old school racism against black people persists and still exists, but I honestly can't tell if it is as prevalent or does as much or more damage than "anti -racism" and CRT type efforts that demand everyone be categorized by race, demands black people identify as enternal victims, and sees everything through a race lens, projecting racism everywhere, including where it otherwise would not be.

I think the fight "against" racism very often causes more racism than it fights, often turning well meaning people to fight FOR racism. And that's a problem if the goal is to actually undo racism.

I think we were on the right track when we had posters of different coloured hands holding together, adds with mixed race couples, etc, downplaying race as a stupid thing to divide on. But now we seem to be shifting towards the opposite, towards a push for more importance placed on race in how we see ourselves and others. It is a real shame.

 

Perhaps you should giver your advice to those in those black communities how fire upon police officers and firefighters and first responders and curse and swear at them and otherwise treat them with total disrespect?

He as not ordering police to not respond, fire chiefs don't order police. He resigned for his very bad attempt at some kind of sarcasm.

BTW: I have the impression that it's the other way around. Helping blacks earns more social credits than helping whites. Because helping whites is taken for granted.

if it's a high crime area, the fire department may have a delayed time as waiting for police backup too, so could be valid reasons as well

 

they are not good cops if they are letting bad cops hurt people
