Is that how you speak of mentally disturbed people?? The guy had problems...........and his problems were missed ,k and he fell though the cracks............ and this is mainly due to various factors. The extreme prejudice against mentally ill peple. , Poor mental health care for anyone that does not have a truck load of money. A country that is not psychologically....but is big on weapons.A very aggressive culture.............(survival of the fittest.......er richest) A gun saturated nation.........where threats are so common place that they can't be differentiated between hoax and real. (all threats should be taken seriously) A country where violence is so pronounced that defining what is "normal" or extreme or abnormal is a challenge........as folks have become immune to the violence now. Folks are rather used to the degree and amount of violence happening ........and can't even be shocked anymore........as the shootings are so horrible and so often .......and this desensitizes a populace (except the victims families .........whose lives have been changed forever)

OK. let's ask them. Murder rates in most countries, including I believe these three countries, were going done both before and after serious gun restrictions. Can they prove gun restrictions, and not other factors, were responsible for the murder rate decreases?

Or maybe such "common sense gun laws" have no effect at all. There are literally thousands of laws in force restricting access to guns, and we still have gun related deaths. And you think a few thousands more laws will finally do the trick?

    I find that astonishing.
After multiple school shootings there is still no way to stop anyone walking onto school grounds and wander around inside??
And as for your second amendment, you have no idea who owned that gun. The shooter could have taken it from anyone in his family, à friend or à breakin.
The amendment does not apply to life and Guns today. Or never considered mental illness.
The issue is the NRA and the gun lobby. How many children have they killed?

American society chooses guns over children, apart from the hypocritical freaking out about abortions that is.

Okay how easy is it to get a gun legally explain the process?

I've been through it multiple times I know it very well you know it's really a lot easier than that? getting one illegally.

If these 19 people were shot to death with a gun that was illegally purchased would they be any less dead?

Because shooters know that they're no guns are allowed there.

By law schools are supposed to be gun free.

If I recall, there have been no mass shootings in Australia since the gun amnestry and the banning of semi-autos and assault rifles.
But it's a hard call to 'prove' murder rates dropped in England and Japan simply 'cos these nations never had guns to start with.
About 300 gun deaths in Japan, and falling each year - that would translate to about a 1,000 in America if the USA had Japan's gun
controls - as opposed to what, 35,000 American deaths ?

    No they don't.

When I purchased my gun I wasn't told by the person I was purchasing it from that if I bought that gun five kids are going to die.

Me owning guns does not equal anybody dying.

What is there like two dozen people in Australia? If you have no borders it's an isolated continent so you don't know anything about what people deal with in America.

You don't have drug cartels you don't have street gangs breaking into your homes and killing your family members.

You can afford to be unarmed. Although the latest overtures your government made at totalitarianism I'd be worried.

    You stuff it.

It’s an American disease. Other countries may get a whiff from time to time, but this madness was ‘born in the USA…’
