You are conceding that Americans only having small arms can not take up a fight to a well equipped army like the American army or even a crappy Russian army.
The suggestion made that small arms for American civilians is a necessity to have a free state -as is suggested in the 2nd amendment- has been caught up by time.
Your comment that armies also have small arms simply doesn't make it an equal playing field in any kind of remote way.
