    You are really going to defend this totally lack of decorum and respect for the dead and their families who are suffering. THIS is a man who should lead the state of Texas acting and behaving in this manner?

    I don't usually agree with Chris Murphy, but you could tell this was a speech from the heart and not a stump speech. And I do agree it's time to do something. We may not agree on everything, far-right proposals won't work and far-left ones won't work, but a centrist path forward on this issue should be possible.

    If he doesn't know what he is doing and why he is there and can only demand other people must do something and he didn't state ONE THING, did not make ON PROPOSAL just said everyone else and blamed everyone else but of course mainly point in one direction. Let's have less emotional appeals and grandstanding speeches and PROPOSE SOMETHING that would stopped this and others in the future.

    And don't give me the ban guns especially the mislabeled assault weapons canard. Had this guy had a 45 or 9mm he could have killed as many if not more in those close quarters where they are more effective.

    I can’t believe that after Columbine, every school in the country didn’t put some rules into effect that didn’t allow random people to wander school halls.

    We waste trillions of taxpayer dollars every year. I think it’s time we wasted some of those dollars putting some prevention measures in place.

    Doors that only open from the inside?

    We put two kids through the *cough* education *cough* system. Anytime we visit any of those schools, we had to stop at the office, prove who we were and why we were there, and get a temp badge. Zero kids killed at those schools.

    This seems pretty easy to me.

    Ahhhhhh, that was the official press conference of the state where they were giving condolences to the families, recognizing those who put their lives in danger, several were wounded by gunfire, to save lives and the quick responders.

    They tripped the fire alarm and then set up with rifles some distance away from the school and killed four girls and a teacher as they poured out of the school

    We have no issue spending trillions to blow stuff up offshore. Let’s spend some to secure things at home.

    If a zygote’s life is sacred, certainly actively living young children should rate as somewhat important, no?
