Fair enough. People generally tend to believe they'd perform better than they really would, at most any task, and I suspect gunfights are not an exception to that trend. Certainly most people would be at a disadvantage when confronting a rifle-armed adversary with only a pistol. On that point, I think we largely agree.

The point is that it's not even mentioned. It's not discussed. It's avoided like the plague. You cannot force the media to act responsible but you can talk about how they are not responsible and ask them to be better. It has been done in the past, it's being done now. You don't see the media showing murders on the evening news. They aren't showing you the videos of cops getting shot in the head. Give this idiot his trial then hang him on live TV. Some how, they manage to censor themselves when they feel like it. They should report it without fanfare and let it go. AR-15s weren't even popular until Newsweek and Time plastered their pictures all over their magazines. Suddenly there were copycat shootings.

We should work on culture and we can't do that if everyone is afraid to talk about it. It's much easier to make a law banning something or putting in background check laws that won't have any affect. This idiot kid is a prime example of that.

It is a cultural sickness that has become an epidemic and too many people don't want healing because they are frightened. Trapped in à merrygoround of mutual fear they think is solved by being more agressive. Who can make the other more fearful until they finally give up.
A lifetime of à crazy self generated never ending circle of violence and it doesn't seem to matter that small children die in the middle of it.

A bunch of bastards standing around with slung rifles pushing back distraught parents while their children are bleeding out inside the classroom with the shooter. One of them even has a taser in-hand presumably to threaten the distraught parents into compliance.

If an amendment is not working, and is actually harming the country and causing indiscriminate deaths, then à resounding YES.
It isn't god's Word. It is a manade document and in this case, over 200 years old. 2A is outdated and refers to à situation long rendered irrelevant. You are allowing small children to be mown down by à gun never dreamed of in the 18th century because you fear the overthrow of your govt by some outside force? That is why 2A was written. And it has become à monster that feeds on itself.

Every single public school shooting in the US happened in the government facility those people cannot protect us they fail and fail and fail and fail and fail and fail and they've been failing since the beginning.
