The job of journalists is to verify information from multiple sources, not choose a vague reference and repeatedly make definitive statements on that unverified information. The story you linked to made multiple definitive statements about body armor.

Three armed officers chose not to deal with this nut. The first armed officer he encountered did not even attempt to “deal” with him. The others mostly waited for more help for 30 minutes while the nut barricaded himself in the school.

What you have been led to believe is not reality.

El Salvador has very strict gun control and has one of the highest murder rates in the world.

    Shallow. Profane. Belligerent. Thoughtless. Juvenile.

Come up with a workable plan to eliminate guns and the world will beat a pathway to your door.

Why just kids? Why not ALL lives? Now adults mean less than kids? Pretending that you'll save kids' lives by banning something is fatuous, and super funny. How many kids lives would you save by banning desert?

LOL. I always find it fascinating how people define “rich”. Wages/income is irrelevant. If you really want to know the economic health of a state you do what President Obama did and look at US census supplemental poverty measure statistics. He’s seldom recognized for his work in ensuring poverty is accurately measured.

Here is the reality based on actual poverty, not just income.

    https://www2.census.gov/programs-surveys/demo/tables/p60/275/table5.xlsx

Also, the states you think are “rich” carry far more state debt per capital than many red states. Is heavy debt “rich”?

I've already answered this 3-4 times but I'll repeat it again.

In what twisted world do you have to live to compare the US with El Salvador?....

In your parallel universe the US is a third world nation?

Go look at Canada, Norway, France, UK, Japan, Australia....

But you will miss the courage.

IOW, the police waited outside, and one armed guard was not enough to deter an attack, and the door was unlocked.

Solution 1. Several armed volunteers on every floor of every school.
Solution 2. Every teacher qualified to use a concealed handgun.

The police delayed going into the school, parents were there outside urging them to go in. After all the events we have seen we are still not officially prepared to react quickly to these situations. I have grand and great grand babies that age and this is unthinkable

I also find it fascinating that I corrected your lack of knowledge and you are attempting a deflection.

Actually, I don't find it fascinating at all.

You're just mad because your narrative has been blown to ****.

Japan's suicide rate is higher than the US

Australia has had more massacres since the gun ban than the 25 years before the gun ban

yeah .. let's take all the guns from law abiding citizens too, so tens of millions can be murdered, just like it the last century. Mexico has strict gun control.. one gun shop in DF er Mexico City.. funny how many 10s of thousands of gun death continue there!

Who cares about whether body armour was worn or not! LOL. I've never heard of body armour being used to kill anyone

yet the great pro-gunners plan following past school shootings was to say that armed school resource officers was the solution to stop school shooters attempting to shoot up a school. That didn't work out well! cue Jim Jefferies, cue Kevin : 6:20

    This is not true.

Since Port Arbor in 1996, there have only been 4 mass shootings... 16 deaths in 26 years.

In the US, 60 innocent Americans die every month in mass shootings.

Oh please, yes, send your thoughts and prayers. Let's wait and let the families grieve and say it's too soon. Let's wait until the next thing catches the goldfish attention of the public and move on. Do nothing. Your typical right. At all self rightious and yet accomplish nothing and have no solutions. Point fingers and say "that's the problem, the mentally ill, illegal immigrant, transgender, vidoe game player is the source of all the evil in the country" and you have the gall to say I'm standing on their graves. Disgusting.

Japan. Let's talk about the courage they have to maintain a homogenous society where they do not have any "culture" problems like we do. Man, just when I thought you could not get any funnier you want to compare Japan, but not Mexico!!!!

I don’t lack knowledge. Your source only addresses wages, not poverty or economic health of states.

The states you call rich have the the highest poverty rates in the nation and carry more per capita debt than other states as well. Again, income does not define wealth or economic health. These are just facts. I’m sorry they conflict with what you’ve been led to believe.
