    Yes.
So, you're saying the poor didn't have smart phones many years ago? Their standard of living has gone up, which makes them richer than they were years ago.

Not proved. Pretty much everyone who wants to vote has an ID.

Ummmmmmmm, no. An expired license is NOT ok for driving. You get a ticket for it.

Any eligible voter who wants to vote can vote, whether they are long lines or short lines.

Paywall it there is something that shows there are states that REQUIRE an ID but do not give free ones post it and get something up to date not from 8 years ago.

But I bet they are citing the CBO which includes this table of states requiring ID at the time

    upload_2022-5-26_12-46-52.png

Notice the far right column. And Florida accepted non-government IDs at the time but now offers free.

It is absurd to object to having a voter present an ID to register and then to vote. Why do you believe it should just be an honor system?

And voting is a privilege for when the government says it will hold an election. Your only right is to be treated equally like we all show ID's. Republicans believe any ballot drop off boxes must be 24/7 monitored and secured and they can't be sitting around on every corner and if you are are THERE IN THE COUNTY where you would put it a box you are not ABSENT. Mail it in.

Those urban areas are controlled by Dems go complain to them about the number of voting machines.
We don't need another federal all day long holiday to go and vote it took me less than 30 minutes to get there and vote and on my merry way why do I or anyone need a FULL DAY off and there are elections happening all the time in this country. Should there have been a national holiday last Tuesday because there was some voting. How about in the runoffs in my state next month should there be a national holiday. Would you end extended voting and mail in voting if we are all going to get a day off to go and vote?

Show me where any of these poor helpless people are you are talking about have not been able to vote during all these primaries that are going on and don't cite ten years ago.

nope, an expired license is still valid for 60 days to drive on, giving you time to renew

We are a federal Republic in which we have never had a national election on ANYTHING. Hope this helps.

How I have I "stolen" anyone's voting right? It's easy to register and easy to vote where I live if it's not in your state that is your problem not mine.

Are you denying Biden and Dems portrayed these common sense practical voting laws as "Jim Crow 2.0"? And in fact we had record turnouts and no reports of people unable to vote?

He's not mine I don't support him running again nor does he influence my vote.............fail but then you had nothing to offer anyway.

I am stating the fact that many years ago, they had homes, and that a smartphone isn't much of a substitute for a safe place to sleep.
Their standard of living has gone down. Contrary to your evident belief, standard of living is not measured in bandwidth.

If the parameters are the same for all people in a given area, it can't be anything but inclusive. Obviously.

You should have renewed it before it expired. But, I concede that you admit that anyone and everyone can easily get a license.

I live in a red state. I don't ever remember standing in line for more than one hour. Most times it is just an easy in easy out, after I show my ID.

LOL. Yes, everyone but a small select anecdotal few. But, I concede your admission that pretty much everyone who is eligible to vote indeed has an ID.

Fake News. GA turnout was UP sharply with the sensible voter reforms that lying sniveling felony fingers Biden claimed was "Jim Crow II" even though it's easier to vote in GA than it is in DE. And the got all the votes counted without any hanky panky and promptly reported trustworthy results, the nightmare scenario for the ones of the Dems who want to be able to steal an election if they need to.

With 1Q real GDP revisions, we are even closer to a recession. I knew as soon as I saw the inflation numbers that the revision that was just released would be even worse than the first even though @Golem claims "Inflation is good!" Inflation is a SUBTRACTION from GDP not an addition.

The economy was roaring back, right until the hinky election that was rigged by censoring social media and fake news and the lying 52 in the Intelligence community that gave the censors cover for burying the International Biden Bribery scandal.

Biden and the Dems immediately attacked the Energy sector and lit the destructive fires of raging inflation and now we have pierced the zero line with a resounding 1.5% NEGATIVE quarter.

The Atlanta Fed just dropped their Q2 estimate down to 1.8%

So the Biden/Dem disaster now has us 1.8% from recession.

US Economy Contracted Even More Than Expected In Q1, Raising Odds Of Recession

Georgia had several polling places reporting 5 hour plus voting lines. Texas had a few as well. Notice it is never the very red or very blue states that have this issue. Almost like it is planned to dissuade unwanted voters.

The voting experience should be the same for everyone

no, you have 60 days to renew it after your birthday, plenty of time

many people do not have a license, never have and never will

you prove why ID is tricky, people denying people to vote even though they have a valid license that is expired

Your problem is you don't know what you're talking about.
Both parties have spent the last 40+ years doing nothing much to solve this...

    4C2CCB52-2134-46B7-9E3F-ABA4027B724B.jpeg

Joe handed out a bit too much money in the last hit, but the Fed led by the Orange Oaf's boy waited too long to raise rates. We still have a low demand problem for in-person services masked in some sectors by pent up demand because people held of covid. Chinese imports have gone up 25%. Unless we get past covid—and we may if we don't get a new variant—our problems will continue.
We could raise taxes instead of jacking up interest rates.
Covid and how we handled covid put us in a fix. We would have done better on the in-services demand side if more people had gotten vaccinated, more people had worn better PPE and we had put more restrictions on large gatherings. Republicans screwed that up. They're still screwing it up.
Put a temporary surtax on high incomes.
