Okay, let's just address this now: A teacher, even in a public school is NOT a government official(I would have to pray that the SCOTUS doesn't have to designate who is and who isn't a 'government official' but given how things are deteriorating, it looks like we might just have to.) The reason being is that the school and school districts are not affiliated with the government. They're not affiliated with Congress, or the White House. Even the US Department of Education is a passive organization.

The only connection the schools/districts have with any governing authority are the school boards. But these boards are directly charged WITH governing over the board zones, etc. To then argue that their connection would violate the Establishment Clause would be to do away with school boards altogether.

I want to reiterate: The framers did not want to create the centralized power of Great Britain(and its endorsement of the Royal Catholic Church). The Establishment Clause exists for THIS and ONLY this reason. Not how a coach should conduct himself with his team, not how a public school should or should not have a religious basis. All of the modern day theories(flawed interpretations) of the Establishment Clause came in the last 35-50 years. In the other 130+ years of the country's existence, the Clause was pretty cut and dry. The framers cared less about the public sphere(see: the religious symbolism that we can't even have either.). At one point, it was there en masse but now not so much.

Back then it was a crafty idea by democrats to bring them on board, which was very optimistic considering liberals represent much of what Muslims hate. Those were the days when Muslims fought for and liberals gave them the peak of the pyramid of victimhood. You know how today liberals virtue signal about all their tranny friends? Well, in those days they bragged about how many Muslims they rolled with. The peak of pyramid of victimhood is no longer occupied by Muslims, the struggle for that prized location continues on with blacks, gays and trannies. I have a friend who works for the CA Democrat party and she brags about how they appealed to Muslims after 911 to come to their side and I’m not sure how many did. I’m guessing it wasn’t very many because the whole Islamophobia thing has died down.

It seems like one of those things that happened at a couple of schools that Foxnews went full blast on for a month or two, so their viewers think it was a nationwide crisis.

I don’t think it happened everywhere, but it did happen. Schools do strange things, do you recall when a teacher had her students write letters of appreciation to a convicted cop killer?

Oh, while I can't think of a single forum progressive who would care, I can offhand come up with 7 or 8 forum MAGAs who would blow an American-made fuse...

Especially if that Muslim were of a darker skin hue than, say, Larry Bird (which is all humans)....

Bullshit. Why would you care about a christian praying but not a muslim?

3 pages in, and you still don't get the issue.... You may have questioned my citizenship earlier (Obviously born and bred) so I feel perfectly free to question your educational background....

Good for him, but I wonder what the ruling would have been if the coach was a muslim imam inviting students to pray to allah in the middle of the football field. Obviously if you want the coach to let you play, you better join the prayers.

No genius, it is YOU that made the claim that people who applaud the decision would be against another religion praying. Yours is a completely baseless claim that is not mentioned at all in the OP.

It's funny that you think the response would be different.

And has never been present for any disaster in mankind's history.

Ray Lewis said that in 2011 that god didn't have a win in his plan vs Pittsburgh.

Then GB wins the SB against the Steelers. Guess god was only temporarily a Steelers fan.

Funny how delusions control people's beliefs.

"Coercive power"? How? There was no mandate for anyone to participate and no penalty if they chose not to. The only one who had a penalty imposed was the coach and that's a DIRECT violation of the establishment clause.

Heres Obama. The third one is the best, he offers his thoughts and prayers for the Fort Hood victims.

It’s nice to know my #1 fan still religiously follows every post I make. Good work.

Yeah, I had the same thought in Post #26....

Let's see how long it takes a Muslim coach (of any sport) to give this concept a shot... and I'll oppose it just as vigorously....

Someone spending 30 seconds in quiet prayer after a game. It has zero impact on my live. What impact does it have on yours?

I have no doubt they will implement christian prayer back in schools against the wishes of the American people. They desire a theocracy.

I guess so much for the right wing that said they only wanted education taught and no “indoctrination”

So you have no issues with persons in a position of authority in our public schools to lead non-academic posturing of personal belief?

So if this was a person worshiping Satan or an individual discussing the benefits of pride you would have no issues?
