I believe when you say armed most people think of a firearm.

Was that skull fracture the one supposedly caused with a fire extinguisher that never happened or is this another one?

And anyone who thinks about it for more than two seconds knows otherwise. No one looks at someone brandishing a knife and says, "Don't worry, they aren't armed."

There were multiple injuries among Capitol officers that day. Several were hospitalized.

As I've said all along, if he committed a crime then prosecute and convict, been waiting 5 1/2 years on this. Now I'm sorry but the reason these hearings have been a flop is because it's so one-sided, they ask very pointed questions like you heard someone say Trump didn't care, You overheard Trump arguing about wanting to go to the capital, you were told in their legal opinion you could hold the elector votes until fraud allegations are proven in court. It's all leading questions, WE GET IT, Trump was mad, thought he was screwed out of an elections because all his minions were telling him what he wanted to hear, he wanted a massive rally to show the world how much support he had even if he lost. Today was a great day though it made Trump look like a self serving prick, well duh. Anyone that thinks was planning on a riot and capital invasion and wanted to go there to be involved is truly partisan. Trump thinks way too much of himself to be caught in the middle of a mob, as the testimony today was he wanted to give a speech on the capital steps, not ride in on a horse and charge the capital yelling freedom lol.

It certainly does seem that he wanted them to do violence on his behalf to the VP and members of Congress who weren't willing to overturn the election for him.

Why are you such a Trump apologist? Do you really not care if the sitting president tells an angry mob that he knows is armed with weapons to march on the Capitol, then sits back and enjoys the violence and chaos that ensues, and fails to order any kind of police or National Guard assistance? Have your partisanship and the radicalization of right-wing media really driven you so far off the edge?

Trump had several of his staff and advisors telling him this was bullshit. He didn't want to hear it.

Yes, I have. If you would like to continue pretending that Otto and Gregor Strasser didn't exist, I guess we can can keep going down that route. All I need is your word that you'll actually respond to historical sources when they are provided.

He was talking about taking away the metal detectors, not the guns.

House Republicans privately stunned over testimony: "Enough to make me throw my lunch against the wall"

    From CNN's Melanie Zanona

Some House Republicans are privately stunned over the explosive new Jan. 6, 2021, revelations from former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson — a trusted and familiar face to many GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill

Lawmakers and aides said they were particularly disturbed by an episode where former President Trump was allegedly so irate about not being taken to the Capitol on Jan. 6 that he lunged at his Secret Service inside the presidential limo and another episode where Trump allegedly expressed support for the “Hang Mike Pence” chants.

One GOP lawmaker said they weren’t able to catch the whole hearing, “but enough to make me throw my lunch against the wall” – a reference to how Trump allegedly threw his lunch against the wall in anger at one point.

Another Republican lawmaker who was watching the hearing texted CNN: “wow” and acknowledged that today’s hearing contained new and explosive information that shed light on Trump’s mental state on Jan. 6.

“This does show how emotionally and personally involved Trump was in the Jan. 6 events,” the member said. “He really cared about what was happening at the Capitol. He wanted to be a part of it.”

But this lawmaker was skeptical it would move the needle: “I don’t know how many persuadables there are out there. I mean, if you think President Trump hasn’t done anything wrong with what’s been released previously, today isn’t changing your mind.”

Your explanation makes no sense in context of the testimony. If you want to dismiss the testimony as a lie, fine, but twisting this as saying that Trump was suggesting that people be disarmed is just monumental, willing ignorance.

I truly wonder if it would make any difference if they knew Ms. Hutchinson was attractive (Strict requirement to be in the T**** WH)??

Also very tall... I know she was in heels walking into the chambers, but she still obviously towered over her male entourage...

    The Secret Service "compromised" ?

If you or Trump even remotely think that, you're just making it up to fit a narrative.

I was wrong about you being willing to discuss historical sources? Thank you for confirming. Let me know if you are ever capable of choosing intellectual honesty instead. I won't hold my breath.

Cool. So we have historical sources on one side and . . . nothing on yours. And you've admitted you aren't willing to produce or even discuss any historical sources. Pathetic. Moreover, you now openly admit the you celebrate the fact that your unwillingness to be intellectually honest will never change. Cool beans. Keep dancing on the graves of a few million people, and on the graves of our veterans, in order to spread fake news.

I wasn't asking about an 'army base'... I was asking about the Capital, and, separately, the Capitol.
