You really can't see how this type of activity, sponsored by our military, would diminish the power and capability of our defense in the eyes of our adversaries?

While countries promote their power by having a parade showcasing their military capability, we have celebrations of men dressing as women and parading down the runway to applause.

    Good ****ing God.

Once again, it isn't good enough that we give transgendered folks the ability to do as they please with freedom and liberty, nope nope that's not enough. They want to shove it down everybody's throat using agencies like the department of defense to push their agenda.

These people need to be told to sit down and **** the **** up. Clearly nobody taught them that as a child.

No, the woke bs they take part in is an admonishment of the US military. They do that all on their own.

How does this event strengthen our military?

If it doesn't, and weakens it, why are we doing it?

It’s insane to me that you people feel that the hate of gay people is what is keeping people from in listing and not overall demographics — many youth do not even qualify due to physical condition. The job market is doing fairly well. Not to mention there has been a general shift in what military service is.

Virtually all industries are experiencing a labor shortage, why would the military be any different?

Then once their service completes they have to deal with PTSD along with various ailments such as cancer and damage from burn pits which Republicans just voted against.

But yes, it’s all the gays fault. (Or the women / blacks depending on who you ask)

How does it weaken it? I agree they shouldn’t be doing it but I don’t see how it weakens it

“The goal is to provide education and awareness, increase collaboration through outreach, and recognize the diverse composition of JBLE,” a spokesperson said in a statement. “The theme of the event is ‘Celebrating Differences’ and will feature a number of different performers, guest speakers, and information booths, including Tuskegee Airman, Asian Indians of Hampton, a hula routine, a drag performance, and many others.”

The US military is one of the most lethal, effective, and professional military in history. They use scientific and engineering standard guidelines with an overabundant training, to make the US soldier, one-on-one most effective. Russia was supposed to have an effective military, by comparison, in recent history, the performance results are not even close.

There is a rule in the military that if one soldier desires to roll up their sleeves on a hot day, everybody in the unit has to do it.

Or, if the doors on a vehicle are removed they all must be removed in the convoy..

These rules exist for one reason, perception.

A military that looks rag-tag and unorganized is not perceived as strong or capable as one large uniform force.

When you see 100 soldiers in front of you, and they all look identical, the perception is of one large unit and is intimidating.

The point is, our military from a defense perspective largely uses perception as the first means of deterring our adversaries from aggression.

The massive bouncer at the night club doesn't have to choke hold an unruly customer against the wall, but everybody knows he could.

Having a bunch of men dancing around in dresses... how do you think that will be perceived by our adversaries?

Our military capabilities and performance has been tested numerous times in the past 30 - 40 yrs with devastating results. I have little doubt our adversaries are unaware of this are most certainly not naive enough to think that all goes away just because you don't like the show.

It was a show though — the “performers” were not even military officers.

Because it's embarassing, promotes weakness and invites challenge.

You're aware that the military is not a social parade, it's an organized and efficient defense force. You seem to be confusing it with an after school club. It's not.

Oh and since you're unaware of how that institution works there are TONS of gay people in the military.

Has the military ever hosted other events to promote soldier morale? Or is this the first one?

You now are telling us you don't understand soldier morale. They do a lot for that, none of which removes the face of discipline or alters the code of honor. Dancing around in dresses serves no purpose, this is why it's impossible to take advice from people who do not understand a subject.

I am not offering any advice.
How does a show at base remove the face of discipline?

You didn’t answer the question, is this the first time a base has sponsored or hosted an event? Comedy, singing, dancing?

I'm sure other countries would really be terrified if they heard that a military full of dudes in dresses was coming for them.
