And it could also be timed to the depositions of former staff of DJT whose depositions have not been made public. There are a lot of moving parts in this case. It appears that the DOJ and the January 6th committee are starting to focus on Trump himself for the insurrection on January 6th, but this could be more of the DOJ doings than the January 6th committee.

My personal opinion, DJT is well known to delay any legal action or proceeding if that legal or action or proceeding puts him in a bad light. We saw this with the depositions of Trump University, his tax case in NY state, and other situations, such as Mueller wanting to depose the President in the infamous Steele Dossier probe or several dozen or so lawsuits from former contractors of not getting paid correctly per the contract. The 15 boxes of documents that Trump had in his possession and was discovered and reported by the National Archives were blatantly obvious. So, as leads came in and it was discovered that there is additional evidence and boxes of possible security violations, then it was decided that hard action was needed and that the DOJ means business. This is just as psychological as it was a legal procedure.

 

Unless those earnings to the SSA were forged, aka fake pay.
