Is that why they chose not to prosecute Hillary in 2016 for breaking the law???

Intent. Do you guys have your long term memories removed at the same time they rip out your ability to draw analogies?

Yes, Trump was incredibly cooperative with the FBI! He gave them all the documents, he never lied, didn’t hide any documents and positively never told his subordinates to destroy evidence!

    Good call,Rod!

We're going in circles, but if your memory holds (or you ever knew) the law that Hillary broke and Comey decided not to prosecute did not require intent.

Umm, wrong Rod. I not only knew, but I also remembered----something sorely lacking in my GOP friends. Try a little research.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillary_Clinton_email_controversy

The controversy was a major point of discussion and contention during the 2016 presidential election, in which Clinton was the Democratic nominee. In May, the State Department's Office of the Inspector General released a report about the State Department's email practices, including Clinton's. In July, FBI director James Comey announced that the FBI investigation had concluded that Clinton had been "extremely careless" but recommended that no charges be filed because Clinton did not act with criminal intent, the historical standard for pursuing prosecution.

You are still bouncing around. The email controversy has nothing to do with my point. It was her handling of classified information that broke the law. (She might have broken laws with the email stuff too but that was less than perfectly clear and much harder to prosecute.) Comey carefully chose (after an associate suggested it) the phrase "extreme carelessness" so as to not exactly duplicate "gross negligence" which is the precise wording in the law -- as subtle as a train wreck. Gross negligence means and was intended to mean lack of intent, so Comey's assertion here is flat out wrong.

IMO Comey actually made the correct decision in keeping with DOJ policy to not bring charges that might directly affect an upcoming election.. But, he sang, tap danced and farted, and wordsmithed like hell to keep to the policy in the face of an open and shut prosecution. That policy is now selectively reversed with Trump to prosecute in any way conceivable in order to interfere with and affect an upcoming election.

No, I am not "bouncing around". You are just plainly wrong and are floundering around trying to save face. It's not working.
