And it's possible Trump wants to keep the pressure/focus on the DOJ.

Its important to find out if Trump sold some of the documents to highest bidder in China, Russia or his lover in North Korea.

LOL. The idea that FBI is a political entity is ridiculous. All of a sudden the GOP is calling for defunding law enforcement because they realized they are not above the law anymore.

You think Biden gets debriefed by the FBI who they are all going to ransack, for the just incase Biden forbids it? lol

When do you think Trump did this? He watched tv all day, and played gold in the weekends.

go after any of them that you can prove committed crimes. just remember "people are talking" is not proof of anything except your metrosexual leader's propensity to gossip.

You're right Joe is so out of touch that for the first time in HISTORY a former President's house was raided, they didn't even bother to mention to Biden that, hey we're about to open a NK style raid on your political opponent. We know you're the boss by title, but you're so checked out, we figured we would give ourselves the go ahead.

At least Obama was a leader and knew the Trump campaign was being tapped. I also remember most of the same players in this thread laughing when Trump sad he was being wire tapped, then arguing because it wasn't a physical phone bug it didn't count. If Joe didn't know he should've because this is a HUGE MOMENT in our history and set's a precedence that will be used again. It takes us down a path that countries like China, Russia, NK and Mexico use against political opponents. This better be really big and lead to real charges because people are noticing Joe's historical moments. Highest inflation in recent history, Highest gas prices in history after he put a moratorium oil leases, record breaking illegals pouring into the country, on and on. If this ends up being an illegal botox charge because they found something in Melania's underwear drawer this country will pay dearly.

it would appear you are failing to compare the willful (he was asked numerous times to identify and return the property of America) thievery of highly classified docs, etc with info shared with ex-presidents. They are not the same thing. Stolen vs authorized dissemination. It's an idiotic whataboutism that fails even in half decent Russian Troll farms.

Under normal circumstances you may be partially correct, but the POTUS has broad powers of declassification and for him there is no set procedure.
    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ut-presidential-records-and-the-law-quicktake
So, according to Patel, all those boxes of documents the sniveling Archivist saw being loaded on the helicopter that Trump was leaving on were declassified. Seeing that the POTUS isn't bound by a "set procedure" none of them had to be stamped as such.

Don't worry, he was self deport to Russia or he will get a pardon. But, crime must never be allowed to pay and his crimes are seeing daylight.

Judge disagrees, the DOJ has been ordered to release information on the warrant by Monday. Finally, we'll see what all this is about, I pray it's something big or you guys made Donald Trump a martyr and guaranteed will get a round 2 of his ass.

Or T**** will have to live on that yacht that he buys with campaign money and will be keeping just outside territorial waters.

Oh and you might actually want to read up on what Obama knew, you misrepresent grossly what occurred.

    Just a bit different viewpoint.

Would the same charges against Trump be considered if he was not president? Doubtful. Not talking about those which could only occur because of being president.

All appearances are that it is a political vendetta. It is a bad precedent which will end badly for both political parties. Certainly, neither Biden, Obama nor Hillary's hands are completely clean.

Don't understand what actually happened or are you being sarcastic?

In 2014, months prior to public knowledge of the server's existence, Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Mills and two attorneys worked to identify work-related emails on the server to be archived and preserved for the State Department. Upon completion of this task in December 2014, Mills instructed Clinton's computer services provider, Platte River Networks (PRN), to change the server's retention period to 60 days, allowing 31,830 older personal emails to be automatically deleted from the server, as Clinton had decided she no longer needed them. However, the PRN technician assigned for this task failed to carry it out at that time

After the existence of the server became publicly known on March 2, 2015, the Select Committee on Benghazi issued a subpoena for Benghazi-related emails two days later. Mills sent an email to PRN on March 9 mentioning the committee's retention request. The PRN technician then had what he described to the FBI as an "oh **** moment," realizing he had not set the personal emails to be deleted as instructed months earlier. The technician then erased the emails using a free utility, BleachBit, sometime between March 25 and 31.

to retrieve the documents before trump monetizes them. unless you know a better reason he misappropriated the documents

    1. to sell info to highest bidder
    2. pay debts to foreign interests or
    3. to extort current office holders.

You have to wonder if these really were his motives...seriously. In addition, they really need to start looking at the role Kushner played and is still playing if the above holds any possibility.

    SURE

"If Trump did in fact order the declassification, he still needed to make sure his staff took the necessary next steps to modify the classification markings on the documents before he could actually handle and store the records (as a private citizen) as if they were unclassified.

Under security classification rules, a classification marking on a document has to be treated as valid and binding unless and until a subsequent marking replaces it. Appropriate government staffers would have needed to cross out the classification markings in the headers and footers, and stamped 'declassified' on the record noting when it was declassified, by whom and under what authority. Since that does not appear to have been done with the classified documents reportedly identified to date, the documents remain classified and had to be treated as classified for handling and storage purposes.

trump may have gotten away with the tax fraud and banking fraud, even the charity fraud and maybe the multilevel video scheme and the fake university if he had not called attention to himself. that is the price of hubris.

You mean why didn't TFG simply turn over US Gov't property, some of which was top secret and classified? Kinda thinks that's part of the investigation here with the FBI. TFG has been fighting the National Archives thinking he's above the law since he entered office, multiple reports of that. He doesn't need to follow the law, just ask him
