Sigh..... No.... I didn't say anybody was incompetent..... just that it will need to be explained why they were allowed to remain. Remember that even if the documents weren't "classified", they still didn't belong to him... there are 2 levels there...

If the explanation is that we gave a former POTUS deference to review the non-classified documents at his leisure, that will still be a huge problem in my book. Most of the problems the FBI has run into over the past 6 years have been doing too LITTLE, not doing too MUCH.

My only 2 guesses at the moment are that there were additional documents (I'm calling it Cache 3) the FBI didn't know about (in the safe) or that the known documents were possibly ready to be "on-the-move" (to Riyadh or Moscow)...

If you agree the documents should have been seized at the time they were first seen by Federal agents then it follows that it was a derilection of duty and thus incompetence. Quit trying to squirm. Having commented on your intellectual honesty many times in the past, it is always amusing to see how you choose to respond when your position is 100% verifiably incorrect. You always employ some sort of diversionary technique rather than simply acknowledging you were mistaken. This time you opted to use the "it doesnt matter" technique. Fascinating.

If one strives to be intellectually honest, being correct matters. It matters a lot.

 

What I (we) "agree" with doesn't always synch with real world scenarios... but I'm willing to wait for the explanation without immediately putting up the nooses....

Also, dereliction of duty and incompetence are 2 completely separate concepts. A completely competent agent can be derelict in duty.

You're ignoring first occurrence of an illegal act and moving past it to hold someone else accused of the same offense. That by definition is a double standard. Why should I respect your standards when you're not consistent?
