    E. Jean Carroll accused Trump of rape and then for defamation of character. Trump using legal tactics of delaying the lawsuit has finally "run out of time"
One of the problems that Trump might be facing is that there are already 26 allegations of sexual misconduct against him and if this lawsuit is won, a large portion of those other 25 women may sue him as well. Most women have not gone down the path that E. Jean Carroll has gone given that it takes a "large" amount of patience and money to sue Trump and that has always been a discouraging factor in women following through to prove that he did sexually molest them.

This could be the "first domino to fall" in a long line of dominos.

If "russian spy" doesn't work there is always "rape". I wonder if they'll find his sperm from the 90s
Sounds like they got a real winning case here!

There won't be any charges. This is a civil trial.

I rooting for the fake victim because I don't want Trump to run again, however, these rape cases where they want to cry rape 100s of years later don't usually work out to well for the "victim"

What the hell does running again or not have to do with this?

The question becomes how would you know she's a "fake victim"? Unless you have some first hand knowledge about what happened, it looks like you ARE rooting for the rapist. Or is this just general contempt for women who accuse men or raping them?

That's right. It doesn't. And any woman who gets herself into this knows it. I can't imagine why any would go this far against a billionaire former President, unless they actually WERE raped.

So THAT'S why you're rooting for the rapist? Because he's a billionaire?

    Makes absolutely no sense....

I never said I'm "rooting for the rapist". YOU put those words in my mouth. I'm basically saying that there is money to be made here. Maybe Trump raped me too. Maybe I should press charges. If anything,I could probably get some HUSH MONEY.

No, that is not an answer.

    To begin with:

For contested cases, costs fall between $4,000 and 6,000 per month for the length of the case. If your case proceeds all the way to trial, it's possible to see total costs reach $30,000 to $60,000 because of the work and personnel involved

Given that she started this lawsuit in 2019, it does mean that she has probably spent at least $40,000. No one spends that kind of money if they do not feel that they can win the lawsuit and winning the lawsuit means that the jury will find the defendant guilty of defaming her, which in turn means that he probably did rape her.

These costs are the probable reason that the other 25 women did not go through the process of suing Trump. The fact that he is a BILLIONAIRE is the reason they sue but is also the reason why proving their case is slim...........unless they have a good and solid case against him. Nonetheless, the costs involved is usually not something that these women can afford and that is why he gets away with it. His money (and lack of the victim's) is probably the reason he doesn't get put in jail for his sins, and not because he is innocent of the crimes.

    Your logic is flawed.

First, these types of cases are taken on contingency, meaning that any payment to the lawyer is contingent upon the plaintiff prevailing. In other words, the plaintiff has zero skin in the game. You could attempt to use the same logic and say that the lawyers would not take the case unless they believed that they would prevail. The problem with that logic in this particular situation is that Donald Trump is not a normal defendant where winning a civil judgment is the only thing to be gained by a lawyer.

If they are able to successfully get this civil case to go to trial, they will immediately become a quasi-celebrity and gain a much higher profile for themselves and their law career. For this reason, the belief in winning that might be required for a lawyer to take a normal contingency case, is not required in this one. Whether they win a judgment or not, the notoriety gained is more than enough to justify their time.

Because of the above, it is not even necessary to go into detail regarding the huge number of Trump haters that exist and that there are an ample number of attorneys that would be more than happy to work pro bono in an attempt to take down their hated political adversary.

On a lot of levels, your logic does not work.

But it will, once again, be a trial of "court of public opinion"... The Republicans need to get their heads out of their backsides and start playing dirty like the Democrats do.... if they can get the most meager rumors started and get it out in front of the press so the public can run with it.... true or not... just that seed of doubt will grow into a mighty story.

The only problem, is that the Leftist media won't report on it multiple times a day for weeks on end. Just like the $240,000,000 COVID relief scam in Minnesota, where the scammers are Somalis and closely connected to Keith Ellison and Ilhon Omar. We haven't heard hardly anything about that.

Make sure to wait at least 30 years to report a rape. You never know...the rapist could end up being president
If your case goes south, no worries. You can make money off of the media and maybe even a book deal.
You might even get fame like Christie Ford who just had to have her leg dry humped at a college frat party to get her success. And her "dry humper" wasn't even a president!
    Imagine the possibilities

Let me be clear. I am in favor of charging ANYBODY against whom there is evidence of committing a crime. I don't care if their name is Biden, Trump or... Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

But there has to be SOME evidence. Not just a right wing partisan projection defense mechanism. Especially not by people who root for the rapist when the rapist is Trump. Now... a judge has DETERMINED that there is enough evidence against Trump to proceed with the lawsuit. But Trump loyalists here are already rooting for "The Prophet" and accusing a woman who they don't know of lying.

If there is this amount of evidence against Biden, I'm not going to root for him. I'm not going to root for anybody. I'll just be silent until we have facts. You will NOT see me ridiculing myself by attacking the victim, like Trump loyalists have been doing in this thread. Or by changing the subject to protect their "Prophet". You might see me reminding them that they did this here, if they attempt to feign being in some "higher ground", though. And I will be keeping track of this, and similar threads, to be used for that EXACT situation, if the need ever arises.

Ok, so by your own process qualifiers, there isn't a shred of evidence being provided by the woman charging Trump. So, in your mind, she shouldn't be able to sue then, right? A judge decided to make a decision based on hearsay. I suspect that judge has a political ax to grind, and you should feel good about calling that person out, right?

There is enough evidence for the judge to order the case to proceed. And NO evidence for accusing her of lying, as several Trump loyalists have been doing in this thread.

Few judges are stupid enough to take a risk like that. I mean, look at the lady judge who gave Trump his "Special Master" in the Mar-a-Lago case. She has been excoriated by every higher court all the way up to Trump's own hand-icked Supreme Court, for making a political decision with no legal basis.

Very few judges would risk that. And all the ones who would tend to be on Trump's side.

Of course, you can ALWAYS fall back to one of your "worldwide conspiracy theories". But those of us who live in reality, and not in MAGA fantasy land, understand how things work.

    Huh?

A rape victim coming out to be pointed at, ridiculed, accused of lying by right wingers (just read this thread), and forever marked by MAGA extremists which, as we all know, includes some very violent terrorists... has "zero skin in the game"?????

I think she has ALL the skin in the game. And maybe more so if she wins.....

So, your own logic undermines your narrative here. A judge, partisan as noted, declares that sufficient "evidence" what ever that is, do you suppose there is video? perhaps physical evidence, as nothing has been produced in public, seems to make a specious claim what is necessary then to go to a trial.

Isn't this the stuff that Harvey and his misdeeds showed the world democrats were entirely willing to ignore on his behalf? It sure makes it difficult to maintain a sense of seriousness when you're willing to break the rules to avoid the hard conversations.

You really need to look at the context of that post. It was clearly referring to financial because I was replying to a post where financial was the singular topic being discussed.

If you want to speculate as to the inner feelings of an accuser, then I guess we need to calculate just how courageous it was for Jessie Smollett to come forward and tell his "truth" about those awful MAGA people. Oh wait, not all accusers are telling the truth. Scratch that. Lets stick to the topic which was the financial commitment to the endeavor. We can speculate further as to their feelings once we know that someone is actually being honest. Let's not put the cart before the horse....AGAIN.

Actually YOU support my logic AND my narrative. Because the ONLY reason you claim this judge is partisan is because the rapist is Trump.

It's exactly what I mean. "The Prophet" rapes somebody, and it's the judge's, the victim's and... even Democrats' fault. And they feel no need to have any evidence because... it's Trump. But even so much as a hint that there might be an accusation... despite no real accusation having been made yet, no judge,... nothing; and they CLAIM the person is guilty.

This has nothing to do with logic or narratives. It has everything to do with the cult to a political leader and hypocrisy.
