Naturally, the British need to prepare for life in the wild Middle Ages. However, like the rest of the West. But the British, thanks to their government, need to prepare for the worst possible scenario.
It was not necessary to attack the Russian fleet. "Russia To Present 'Evidence' UK Special Forces Behind Crimea Attacks" https://www.zerohedge.com/geopoliti...dence-uk-special-forces-behind-crimea-attacks
Everything has consequences. But the cunning rulers of Britain thought to outwit everyone. But it didn't.
So - hunger, cold, poverty - this is karma for the British because they have chosen this prime minister.

    Winter Is Coming.

Governments have a duty to prepare for everything.

When i was in the military, we practiced for mass casualty events because we had to be prepared, not because we thought one was imminent.

It's so dumb that anyone would cite this is a bad thing.

Week long blackouts have never been seen before in the UK since electricity has been running, only in times of war, which is also where mass casualties are a regular occurrence. It appears UK citizens have been led blindly into a war time scenario without even being in a war

    Russia started a war.

It's pathetic that people somehow blame the west for this. Russian propaganda is doing it's work.

which has nothing to do with my comment but since you desire my opinion on that conflict:

Russia didn't start this war. Let's use some logic and reason here and leave the hard headed stubborn approach for the brain-dead.

Where is the logic and reason in that opinion?

If these planned blackouts happen, the UK citizens better be compensated for all the subscriptions, utilities and direct debits we pay for monthly for those very services.

When you were in the military were you involved in the Vigilant Guardian series of training exercises?

Not to my knowledge. I was stationed at SHAPE in Belgium and we were ding drills to be prepared for a mass casualty event. It wasn't anything special or interesting, it was just something we did like fire drills.

That partly explains your obeisance to NATO, thanks.

Yes, i know much more about NATO than you, thanks for acknowledging it. I was there during the process of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia joining. I'm sure that really pisses you off.

What I've known about NATO for years now is that it has greatly outlived its usefulness. I didn't vote for Trump, but his push to get us the hell out of NATO was right on. I reckon that's why the Deep State worked so hard to get rid of him.

NATO is just one more bureaucracy with no legitimate purpose.

When i was there we actually had Russians there. I worked on a team with a few for a while. It was actually a very optimistic time. Then Putin came to power and started undermining the Partnership for Peace program that was working towards an partnership between NATO and Russia.

...and then there was the weeping and gnashing of teeth after Vlad came on the scene?

No, his goal since taking power has been to rebuild the USSR. Which obviously wouldn't include a partnership with NATO.

yea man, we were all trying to incorporate Russia into being a partner, then when a midget (sorry, little person) took power, we decided to switch gears and pull the rug right out from under his tiny feet. Nevermind the years we had put into working with Russia.

Spring will come, there will be no blackouts, and again others will lough about this clown, just as it was after his claim that Ukrainian army is defeated already in March.

"straw man" - "соломенный человек". Why do you need this? Want to sign Biden's portrait in Russian?

Yes. Yes. We often hear from the clown about the victories of Ukraine. However, a fact is a fact. Russia has increased its territory by 4 new regions. (Not counting the Crimea).
But the clowns continue to whine about Ukrainian victories. Is not it? :roflol::roflol::roflol:

Actually, the term I was looking for is "подмена тезиса." You need to study this: https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Подмена_тезиса
